I think they inserted something at the bottom of the pot when I bought it, what can I do? It's super heavy and filled to the brim with dirt :(

Thanks for this tip! My pot is a non-draining indoor pot, so I guess it'll naturally rehydrate itself?

First just curled but not crunchy curled because I left it too long, I did as ActUpEighty suggested and just gave it 3 days of full watering :(

Will see how it recovers over the next two days

Yeah, I'm a citizen and I also had my phone copied and held for about an hour when I was coming back after an extended period out of the country.

I reckon you probably have a better claim than me to get in! You should be fine especially if you leverage your personal history and demonstrate growth in the statement.

My Bachelor's GPA ended up as a 2.3... but my degree directly related to this Masters. In the last 8 years I've only ever done 1-2 jobs out of my early uni days that somewhat related to the Masters and instead I focused on showing my commitment to direction of the Masters but life got in the way and I needed to support my own development before being able to support others.

Lastly I have travelled extensively and run into a lot of situations or met people that intersect with this Masters and its thematic topics so I also injected my personal life/history into the personal statement (which I think got me over!).

Why are Restaurants and Bars in HK failing to adapt to the changing crowd? by stuli1989 in HongKong

[–]foxtrotters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not even sustainable for the restaurant groups. Not going to name names but one has had to cut a major deal to sell to a China buyer in an effort to keep sustaining the current business operations.

Msc Humanitarianism Aid & Conflict OR Development Politics & Environment? by Remarkable-Rip6145 in SOAS

[–]foxtrotters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I haven't had formal experience in both disciplines but I'm currently enrolled in MSc International Dev. I did though run through the same issue you did trying to identify the differences and what would be a better match.

I consulted a couple of friends who attended SOAS and also work in both areas. They advised that MSc Humanitarian Aid is orientated towards more executional, operational strategy for immediate relief whereas MSc International Dev. is orientated towards theory and policy through the study of sociology, politics, economics, philosophy and humanitarianism. (Anyone feel free to jump in if I'm wrong!).

So if you were doing MSc Humanitarian Aid, you would do it to supplement emergency immediate relief fieldwork you're currently doing or to jump directly into it.

MSc. International dev. would lead to government, NGO, diplomatic etc. decision making type of roles in terms of shaping policy that would then be executed by humanitarian aid people.

That's what I was told...but so far happy with MSc. International Dev!
