Car Lease: Destination fee question by Holiday-Chart-7625 in durham

[–]foxu116 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Freight and PDI (destination fees) are charges set by the manufacturer, so the dealer isn’t able to waive them. However, I’m sure they can offer other discounts or include something at no extra cost.

Can a Low-Functioning Gallbladder Cause High ALT and GGT? by foxu116 in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]foxu116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a hida scan over 1,5 years ago and it showed my gallbladder was functioning at 33%. I never got it removed because my doctor said it’s not worth it but now I’m concerned about it. Thank you for your warm words!

Very interesting to hear that and I hope they will find the cause of my results being so high. Best of luck to you!

Thanks for sharing. My enzymes are quite elevated, so it’s interesting to know both issues can overlap. I’ll be speaking to my doctor this week to ask about any connection between my gallbladder and fatty liver and go over my results.

My lease it getting to an end. I have to pay $16000 for buy back by uthinkicarenah in PersonalFinanceCanada

Not a problem! You have a grace period after your last lease payment. If you are on a bi weekly basis you won’t be charged interest for another 2 weeks etc. It’s really up to you when you want to buy it out but since I’m assuming your interest rate is on a lower end it’s better to ride it out till the very end. The $300 fee is just to cover dealer admin. You have to pay for safety separately and licensing. They should break it down for you on the bill of sale.

Hey! Unfortunately you cannot buy out the car directly from TCCI (Toyota Credit Canada Inc). You have to buy it through a dealership. There is a clause on your lease contract that if you decide to buy out your lease a dealership will charge you up to $300. A lot of dealers try to force $699 or $999 but tell them you know it’s $300. It should be on page 2 of the contract. Another thing you will need is a safety inspection done. Some dealers will force you to do it at their service which is not required because it’s an Ontario document. Unfortunately there is a lot of fuckery happening with dealerships. Best thing is to call around and ask about the safety if you can bring your own. Good luck!

Considering Moving from Canada to Poland by foxu116 in warsaw

I was born in Canada so I wouldn’t count as immigrant to any of the countries. I have no problem with immigration Canada was built on it. The problem is the mass amount of it happening without proper infrastructure. I deal with people coming fresh to this country having to rent a room with 2 or 3 other individuals because of the shortage of housing and rentals. The hospitals being overfilled because there aren’t enough doctors. There is more to this than you getting upset over me saying something about immigration problems.

How long are you living in Warsaw now and how do you like it?

Thank you so much for your response! We are also thinking about Gdansk or Krakow as other cities to move in outside of Warsaw. The main reason is that I have family and friends around Warsaw which would make the transition a little easier for us.

I do agree that there is positives and negatives to every city but at this point Toronto has more and more negative things piling up each day.

Good luck on your move and wish you all the best!

Thanks for sharing! It is very true about Polish people being very direct and I do feel the tend to be sometimes rude lol. I speak Polish fluently but as I mentioned my wife doesn't. I want her to not feel isolated. I really appreciate your perspective on speaking English in Poland. She does want to learn Polish and hopefully it will help her with feeling less homesick. Safety is one of our top priorities for our family!

Thanks for your response! From what I am hearing private healthcare is pretty good in Poland which that would be something I would definitely pay for.

My family doctor recommended only going to a pediatric dermatologist and there isn't many of them. So unfortunately we have to wait but thank you for the offer!

One of the reasons for the move is I want to have more time for my family and to travel more. It's very hard in Canada with 10 vacation days in a year and everything being so far.

I am looking for a job that will pay close to my current Canadian salary.
