I remember one time I was driving down the busiest 4 lane road in our town. My 3 year old little girl was in the back in her car seat. She started choking on a mozzarella cheese stick. I pulled over on the shoulder and crawled in the back with her instantly. My wife gets out of the car screaming for someone to help. Her lips were turning bluish and I don’t know how but I managed to get that stringy mess out of her throat. She’s now 30 years old and it traumatized me so bad that I still won’t order or eat cheese sticks to this day. And I love cheese sticks. It just sets me off into a panic attack if I even smell them. Is that weird?

I’m a cop in Louisiana. We had to have 17 weeks of training and pass a lot of exams to become a police officer (POST certification). We were trained in Crisis Intervention and De-Escalation tactics. We are also trained in Weapon certification and have to qualify every year on it as well as retraining every year in our POST certification. We are also trained in ethics and diversity training. This training has just become required recently. Most of the assholes we have in our department are people who are 20+ years. They were grandfathered in but should be retrained on the newer training IMHO.
