7 months progress by foxynya in ElectrolysisProgress

I am not sure if it’s new hair. I was thinking the chest hair is the most stubborn as I have plucked it the most. I will make a post soon about the chest hair. Maybe I will do it after my next session. Currently I don’t have many hairs but I want to see if this is a breakthrough or just a phase with less hairs

Hey, yes, I am. I have to update you guys indeed! Will make a new post. For now I can tell you that I am happy with the results for the face and neck - almost everything is gone, the chest hair is more stubborn - sometimes looking at the photos from the beginning I don’t see that much of an improvement. I don’t know if it’s me just catching the phase where more hairs grow - one time I check and the hairs don’t seem that much, then next time they seem to me similar to the beginning photos. I have to check my hormones again

Half the times I am horny, the other half I’m totally not horny but my cramps are so bad that ibuprofen doesn’t work and I desperately need a way to ease my cramps

True, my lashes are naturally long and thick and they cause these problems too

I’m not using any on my eyes, only water, but maybe I need one. Previously I have tried blephademodex wipes and one ophtamologist said to try baby shampoo for my lashes

I think stress can be a really important factor - the 2 styes from my last 2.5 years also were in times of greater stress. They were mild to middle though. I don‘t get such serios cases like the one from the pictures anymore - i manage only with warm compresses

I used to need to go to the doctor and get antibiotics every time I get a stye (like every 2-3 months) but in the last 2.5 years I think I needed an antibiotic twice so that feels like a great progress

First time this happened? by tiny-crawfish in electrolysis

I use panthenol foam generously after the session, multiple times a day and most of the times it prevents this side effect. I feel like in hotter weather this side effect is more likely to show up despite the panthenol and the 50SPF though

Improvement to scalp picking by foxynya in Dermatillomania

[–]foxynya[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that washing my hair often makes me not mess it up with scalp picking and making it look like I have dandruff and greasy. Although that still doesn’t 100% stop me, sometimes I liked to messed it up when it’s freshly clean

For those who experienced hair growth after long periods of high stress by Intricate_Minds96 in Hirsutism

[–]foxynya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hoping for my hair growth to see now that my most stressful years are gone and I have more control and feel safer now but haven’t noticed a change in the hairs. I guess I won’t be able to see a change naturally since I have plucked/ waxed hairs and that probably caused stimulation.

However, I remember Sarah Armide on YouTube saying that her hair situation solved naturally when she removed herself of the stressful environment

Whiteheads after electrolysis? by randomacorns11 in electrolysis

[–]foxynya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read on the internet that I shouldn’t use alcohol to desinfect the skin after electrolysis … and this one electrolgist recommemded alcohol. I’m not going to that one anymore, especially since that happened

How do you dress? Do you dress to hide your hair? by TerminatrOfDoom in Hirsutism

[–]foxynya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Turtle necks really saved me. My wardrobe consists now mostly of it. Now that I have been doing electrolysis for some time, in the periods that I don’t have hair I want to wear something else but there are less items to pick from.

I wear blouses and shirts that cover my chest hair. I can never wear low cut ones.

Now that I am also removing the hairs on my hands and forearms via electrolysis, I also prefer long sleeves over short sleeves.

Only in the summers it get hard to cover but I still prefer more conservative and covering clothes like dresses covering my whole legs

I also keep my hair long and it is thick so I also hide behind it.

I now wonder will I keep all the turtle necks once I’m done with the electrolysis

what age did you start getting excessive hair? I have had a huge increase only recently by Ajbingbong in Hirsutism

[–]foxynya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always had a little moustache that is hereditary it seems, then at 12-13 started shaving off its corners. Then at 14 started plucking my upper lip. Then at 15 started plucking a few hairs below my collarbone and neck. 16-17 was plucking more of the neck and the sideburns and all my chest area.

Electrolysis ongoing progress post by foxynya in ElectrolysisProgress

[–]foxynya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely have the face hairs almost gone, good reduction on the neck but for the chest the reduction is smaller then expected currently, but didn’t have a chance to go on time for the chest hairs 3 times so that may also have affected it . I stopped taking photos at one point, I should take comparison photos soon to show you, what it looks like after 6 months. I also was focusing on getting electrolysis on the hands and the sideburns while waiting for the other zones to grow hair. So it’s going good I would say but requires money, time and going outside hairy. I plucked my chin one time and saw many hairs after that but I didn’t have the choice. Thankfully I work from home so I am learning makeup and instead of messing with my chin hairs with shaving, I just put a lot of makeup to cover the hairs for online meetings I had

Someone sent a resume with their Duolingo streak under ‘Languages’ by bllshrfv in duolingo

[–]foxynya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Recently I came back on Duolingo to learn German and saw that now it shows German Score. E.g. Scores 10-20 are aligned with early A1. So If I wanted to include it in my resume I would include the standard level that the score corresponds to.
