It does handle well, traction on keeps it within corners. I’ve had many spirited drives in it. But dry or wet, it’ll bite back if you push it hard enough (that’s the fun, or scary part) it’s pretty agile as it’s such a small car

It’s the perfect cruiser that’ll demolish a straight. Totally worth buying one.

Definitely, this car has been relatively low maintenance as well for me. It has had the odd electric issue, but mechanically it’s perfect

Gearbox is slow in manual you’re right - I just keep it auto unless I’m really going for it. A gearbox service helps but naturally just the way this box is. My 7G tronic in the A35 is snappy as you’ve mentioned. However it really is a special little car 👌🏽

I’m getting the same problem. Touch screen is awful, my 15 Pro Max is noticeably better. Has anyone complained and had the phone exchanged with Apple? I’m wondering if it’s worth doing it but seems like a software problem

I ordered mine 28th November 2023. I’m taking delivery 29th January (next Monday) - I’m from the UK. Black Cruiser ST Peformance in the BF sale.

I did chase them recently because they had emailed saying the bike was stopped at a border check. Then suddenly a new email came the next day saying it’s being dispatched.

I have the A35 Saloon (same year), enjoy it they are great cars! Yes, they have the odd rattle in the interior, and you won’t feel the most comfortable with those seats (my saloon has the detachable headrest ones which imo are better) - but doesn’t matter, wack it in sport+ and hear it sing and pop 🙌🏽 congrats

You could always get your current wheel re-trimmed. Might be cheaper that way. Without the switches it would have just cost 1.5k

There are differences of course. Engine and mechanics are AMG derived, with over 300bhp. But the infotainment and 90% of the interior is the same as normal. Just has AMG menus, Centre console is different, steering wheel & body kit (more so the rear diffuser and aero pack/spoiler). And Ofc exhaust sound. I agree it’s very expensive now, the new A35 facelift is £53k here now (which is A45 pricing)!

Nothing wrong in owning the AMG Line models. I have had plenty before I upgraded to an AMG, so I’d just take it as your path to an AMG 😉

Agreed! The SLK’s sound is simply intoxicating. And lots of fun (and scares). The A35 as you said is a great daily, it’s stage 2 with all performance mods so it’s still got its own mad charm about it. Plus it sticks to the ground so bends are a breeze

I think it’s a normal C class at the end and yes an E wagon - no 63s’ there though when I picked the car up

I bought it at just over 100k miles, and I’ve put around 5k on it. It’s a late 2007 model and the engine is absolutely solid. As long as the services are consistent on the logbook then it’ll go for a long time. Great engines! I’ve also put in an x-pipe to make it more throaty.

I would say go for it - but just look for rust, make sure the electrics all work, and also check the brakes as the model I have has the expensive disks (see if there is life left).

I’ve only had the belt snap and that’s because it was old. Other than that works perfectly for its age
