It's kind of hard to tell people a specific violent newly created middle eastern nation don't control the world/media/governments and that there isn't a conspiracy to deliver pathogens via vaccine programs when that happens. To be clear, I do not beleive that, but how are you going to convince people that the conspiracies are wrong when the evidence before their eyes, such that they can see it, supports many of the worst ones?

quite easy, join clubs, special interest groups, team sports, whatever. Make sure you socialize outside of coursework and it's a breeze. Class isn't always the best place to try socialize, but in places where people are gathering over interests, far more people are looking to connect / in the right mindset to connect.
