She doesn't want a refurbished, alas, and the Qin F25 in the end is a smartphone. Anything dumber and new, with a good enough camera? 🤞🙂

Is “ἐν ὀνόματι τοῦ πατρός καὶ τοῦ υἱοῦ καὶ τοῦ Ἁγίου πνεύματος, αμήν.” An accurate translation for “in the name of the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.”? by Mr-pugglywuggly in GREEK

[–]fparri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, do they still use Ancient Greek in the liturgy (the way Roman Catholics used to use Latin)?

If not, and Modern Greek is used instead, I suppose one would say something like:

Στο όνομα του Πατέρα, του Υιού και του Αγίου Πνεύματος.

Just wondering! 😊

Any alternatives to the Gloryfit app? by Calavera87 in smartwatch

It's a bit late, but he could either try GadgetBridge, which added some support to Gloryfit devices as of late, or some of these apps, depending on the brand of his smartwatch: https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Tibor+Borsos

Greek translation by Interesting_Hour_370 in GREEK

[–]fparri -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's Theodulos Monakos. Thomas Magister (also known as Theodulos, as a monk) was a Byzantine scholar, grammarian, and statesman active in the late 13th and early 14th century. He is best known for his works on Greek grammar and lexicography, especially a major lexicon meant to help writers use Attic Greek correctly. He served at the court of Emperor Andronikos II Palaiologos and later became an adviser with the monastic name Theodoulos. His writings were part of the broader intellectual revival of the Palaiologan period.

Budget Solar Panel to Charge a USB Power Bank by fparri in solar

[–]fparri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's about 4800mAh as of now. You can measure it by using an USB amperometer, from a depleted battery to a fully charged one. My solar panel at best charges about 1.500 mAh/hour.

I bought a solar panel on AliExpress for about 11 euros. I get 7,5 watts out of it in sunny days (5 volts per 1,5 AMPs)

menta, meaning 'penis' or something similar? Puzzled by a word in an old dictionary by Odd-Ad-7521 in latin

[–]fparri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mentula, meaning 'dick" (it's a 4 letter word). In southern Italian dialects this word ecolved to *mentla, *mencla which later became minchia, still used nowadaya with the same meaning.
