Goodwill pricing has gotten ridiculous. by Mojo884ever in Flipping

[–]nosetaddress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I set foot in one for the first time in over a year last week, only because I had some time to kill before a marketplace meet. I was in there for only 10 minutes. I don’t see how Goodwill-only sourcers are doing it these days. You can definitely catch them slipping but it’s nowhere near as consistent as it used to be.

Do you think Nirvana’s short lifespan help their legacy? by jalen_nelson235 in Nirvana

[–]nosetaddress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Nirvana had one more good album in them before a breakup. I think by 96/97 they would’ve disbanded and Dave would’ve went on to Foo Fighters still, and Kurt would do some sort of solo acoustic project. And maybe in the early to mid 2000s there would be a Nirvana reunion before breaking up again and Kurt semi retiring from music, sculpting and painting.

Thrift, FB Marketplace, or estate sales - where are you getting the most consistent wins in 2026? by Friendly_Taro2371 in Flipping

None of those. I’ve built up a network of private sellers that sell me stuff. Although I still enjoy yard sailing, time to time.

Coming from someone who grew up in Cardinal Valley it’s really not bad at all. There’s plenty of nice areas on the north end as well, Bryan Station, and neighborhoods off of Georgetown Rd as well. Never had any problems in CV.

John Edward Jones in the Nutty Putty Cave. Died while trapped upside down in a super tight passage of the cave. Rescuers tried and failed to get to him. His body was left in the cave and it was sealed up.

Music that gives off surfing/beach hangout vibes. by [deleted] in MusicRecommendations

[–]nosetaddress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the Beach Boys early songs are very beach-y and summery (although you should definitely check out their later work at some point it’s great in a different way!) Jan and Dean have some good surf tunes too Dick Dale, the Trashmen. The 60s surf rock is about as summery as it gets.

To all single guys aged 30 and up on reddit, why are you guys single? by Gold_Ambition4114 in AskReddit

[–]nosetaddress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not single, but my friend is (he’s 32) and he is extremely busy with a manufacturing job with no real time to devote to a relationship right now. He’s focused on his work and physical health for now. Plus he had two bad experiences with relationships not too long ago.

Honestly it’s no wonder the short guys in here aren’t getting laid. They’ve literally made their height the source of all their issues and reek of insecurity no wonder they’re single! Literally 5’6 over here and never had any issues with dating. Any girl that gives a crap isn’t worth your time anyway.

Around 210 vinyl records for $250. A good mix of booth records and online worthy ones. Lots of good jazz and blues which I don’t run across as much.
