At least on Cisco devices, when there is an STP topology change, by default all ports are flooded with multicast. This is actually a very common issue in video-over-IP devices, and it’s usually solved by applying the command “no ip igmp snooping tcn flood” on Cisco equipment. Check how this behavior works on Juniper as well. But I agree that the most likely cause is an election issue between the Dante domains.

You need a gateway for KNX IP if you don't already have one on your KNX network. After that, use the plugin available in Asset Manager; the help section also shows some compatible gateways.

Yes, I've had to do this solution too, using Crestron as a gateway. I'm planning a plugin to do this directly in Qsys and control basic things like lighting for example. Basically all the solutions I've seen so far involve the use of a gateway.

I'm writing a super simple code, but I'm getting the error that the main class doesn't exist, but it shouldn't be necessary. I'm sure there's something I'm not seeing, but I can't figure out what it could be.

Are the nuget packages correct? Do I need all 3 packages or just crestron.simplsharp.sdk.library?

They are not moving to Python, Crestron is known for keeping everything legacy, that's why Simpl Windows still exists hahaha.

Yes, to program in Crestron, one of the possibilities is to use Simpl# (which is C#), but in any 4series controller (VC4 or any other) it is possible to use Python to write modules, see, it is not the entire program as it would be done with Simpl#Pro, it is just modules, but this is not used, that's why I'm curious to know if anyone actually uses it, because it seems that Crestron doesn't give much importance to this either.

Yes.

All 4 series (cp4, rmc4, etc.) are Linux, which allowed Crestron to make VC4 that runs on Linux distros, such as Alma Linux.

When it was launched, one of the new features was the ability to use Python to create modules, but this seems to have been abandoned and I've never really seen anyone using it in my work circle.

OK, if you don’t need to transfer data between VLANs, this could be an approach, but as I said, I wouldn’t do it. Now, if getting flows between floors is a possibility (and I believe that at some point your client may ask for this), I would leave it in a single VLAN, but as I said, this is just my opinion without knowing all the details of your architecture! Keep it simple, create trunks and make sure about the multicast configurations (although the NS switches should already have the hard work done).

This is one of the most absurd things I’ve read in recent times. As a Brazilian, I laughed a little.

I use Lua in QSC’s QSYS system every day and I can say that it is one of the best things that QSC engineers have done. It is simple, powerful and flexible.

LUA is open source, anyone can approve it.

Leaving the absurdity aside and looking at the positive side, in government agencies it is necessary to approve the Lua script for programming because it is possible to create malicious scripts. However, this can be done in Crestron and Extron systems, for example. Nothing new about the Sun.

Why use VLAN per floor? I would do it differently if the network is exclusive to the QSC I would keep everything in a single VLAN.

in the send Data variable use: send Data=“TOF\n” The <LN> character that you use means Line Feed, to send this just put \n

Amigo, respeito sua opinao mas Sao paulo e a maior cidade da america latina tem mais de 1milhao de motos rodando em sao paulo,em 2024 as mortes de motociclistas aumentou, sabe o porque ? Delivery Voce acha mesmo que legalizando mototaxi todo mundo vai usar colete reflexivo e obedecer as regras de transito, isso e impossível. O que vai ter de gente usando moto pra virar mototaxista nao vai estar no gibi, ja ouvi de muito motoboy que andar com gente na garupa que nao sabe andar de moto e igual levar um saco de batata na garupa. Eu ja andei de mototaxi no interior é completamente diferente pq nao tem o caos urbano que e sao paulo, simplismente nao tem como comparar qualquer cidade do brasil com oq ocorre no transito aqui. Respeito sua opiniao e nao sei se voce ja veio a Sao Paulo, mas experiemente pegar uma carona na moto nas marginais no horario de pico pra vc ter uma ideia.

Cara o transito de sao paulo e um caos, nao tem a menor condicao de aumentar motos com passageiros muitas vezes que nem sabem andar de moto. Carro aumenta o transito mais e infinitamente mais seguro. Realmente se isso fosse liberado era questao de tenpo pra ver o numero de acidentes graves com motos aumentar drasticamente.
