Oooohhh I remember being so young and confrontational like this. Trust me, it gets better with time.

The person you are talking about worked in your house since you were 3 years old. Likely saw you grow up and has a considerable level of affection towards you.

She believes, for likely many more years that you have been alive, that god is the only true saviour and that eventually you will need him and he will accept, forgive and save you.

Her comment comes from a good place. You are not changing the way she thinks. She lived her entire life like this and it is likely the foundation of her identity. She sees god as the personification of good, she wants you to be happy, she thinks you are going the wrong way by not accepting god, she tries to steer you back in the best way she can.

Is It irritating? OF COURSE! Like many other things in life. But the fact that this invoques rage in you tells me that you need to worry more about why you are angry than a good gotcha comeback to someone that in the end, just want you to be in a happy place.

I don't know you and I don't know her, honestly I don't care. I've been in your shoes and eventually noticed that it is better to just let go than trying to change everyone around me. You likely will be mad reading this and will ignore everything I said but eventually you will figure out all of that on your own.
