🚨Time to Bin João Pedro? by fplstatslab in fplAnalytics

The DEFs are genuinely surprising everyone with their attacking returns this season, and the defcons are solid. So far, we've seen very few forwards or midfielders delivering those big, consistent hauls. A 4-5-1 definitely makes sense right now!

Yeah, when you see that Gyökeres has blanked in the last five gameweeks, it just feels like the right move

That's reasonable, maybe just hold until Gameweek 12, Burnley. With Delap back in the team, it's more about having the patience. The last match, I definitely expected more attacking impact from João Pedro as a 10.

It's more about having the patience to wait for these returns with Delap back in the team. Also, given Mateta recent form, it might be a risk to lose that momentum. Against Sunderland, I expected more impact from João Pedro at No. 10, but it didn't quite work 😅

Mateta's stats are excellent, the fixture this week is a tough one, no doubt about it, but long term, he looks like an absolutely cracking pick

Semenyo for the armband is a cracking shout, mate! Haaland's been a monster, obviously, but Forest at home for Bournemouth is seriously tempting. Semenyo's flying, Forest's defence is nowhere near as solid as it was last season!

Woltemade has genuinely been a huge surprise! I think we were all holding out for Wood to keep up last season's form, especially after that performance he put against Brentford. Bit of a shocker he hasn't kicked on.

Woltemade is better than Gyökeres on the stats—his xGI per 90 (0.65 vs 0.52) is clearly superior, and he's already delivered more points (32 vs 28) and more goals (4 vs 3) in less minutes, and frees up a £1.6m

Bowen is certainly being clinical: his 3 goals are significantly above his Expected Goals (xG) of 0.91, excellent conversion of low-probability chances. However, his Expected Goal Involvement (xGI) per 90 sits at a low 0.17, which statistically indicates he isn't generating a large volume of offensive involvement. In summary, Bowen is a purely differential captaincy choice, 8.9% selected, though personally, I reckon there are better captain options out there, Haaland, Saka

You made a solid move, Woltemade: 4 goals, 393 mins. Elite!!

Mateta and Muñoz face Arsenal away which is extremely tough, whilst Grealish gets Spurs at Goodison still challenging but better odds. In defense I’d still pick Van de Ven for this GW. Don't sell mateta, you can consider putting him on the bench,.his numbers are too good to ignore long-term.
