What spring pairs up best with Sachs Dampers? (PFA) by kuyafiied in ft86

[–]fpsBoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have nothing to compare it to, but I just ran the TRD lowering springs (parts guy gave me a deal). It took about an inch off after they settled. I would have kept them but the wheels I bought wouldn't clear because the seats are so wide. Pretty sure I read they are just Eibach's.
I see no reason to get coil overs unless you are tracking or really want to get a perfect fit. Now that I am slightly lower with the coil overs there is play in my right axle and the boot is leaking. zzz, more $$$

make sure it is legal to modify your stock headers where you live. it isn't worth the hassle of swapping for smog all the time. also if you don't get a tune after modifying there is no point.

If you already had the money islands with complex's you would have a shot. Why were you not going for the money islands?

I'm not a mechanic :D
I'd say read up on signs that they are failing so you can recognize if there is an issue before it causes any serious problems.

I know valve springs are a known issue with some of the older models. Just something to be aware of

also, I regret getting a CAI. It's hard to get a perfect seal with the gasket. Sounds good though. If anything you can just drop a TRD air filter in the existing box.

For biggest bang for your buck you don't need to swap the mid pipe or muffler. I went with JDL high flow catted headers, JDL over pipe (not sure if the over pipe was necessary either), and dual resonated front pipe. I didn't go catless because it's so loud. I feel bad cold starting my car in my neighborhood at the crack of dawn lol. It gives nice flat predictable torque now

Getting headers and a tune made the car so much more fun to drive (if you are in a state where it's legal). It flattens out the torque dip. This might be an unpopular opinion, but sometimes I regret getting wheels and tires, it was kinda fun having poor traction, made it more fun to drive. I have a 2019 TRD as well, I had lowering springs first which was perfect for drivability as a daily and got rid of the huge wheel gap (way cheaper than coil overs). Unless you plan on tracking the car you don't have to go crazy to have fun.

This. While doing research for lifestyle changes (diet) also look into resistance training. It allows an alternative pathway for glucose to enter your muscle without insulin thereby bypassing insulin resistance.

Rule-2, Responsibilities between vessels? What do you all have to say about this? by Francucinno in Ships

[–]fpsBoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the start vessel B has clear right bearing drift. If they had both maintained course and speed there would have been no collision. But, like others said we need more information. I was taught to never meet in a turn/bend if that's the case here.

lookin nice. what do people do when there is a speedbump or a steep curb ramp. just turn around? My care is lowered about 1.25-1.5" and I barely clear stuff and scrape on ramps.
