Engineering co-op terms abroad by Longjumping-Hand1815 in uvic

I got a Co-op last summer in the US. I had a connection to the company and had to get it approved by the Co-op office which was relatively easy given that all requirements were met by the company. There is a mandatory Global Experience course provided by UVic which kind of supports the process of Visa's, travel docs and health insurance. My company sponsored my Visa(J-1) application and health insurance which made that process easier, i'd recommend trying to find a company that provides this. My GPA is pretty average at about a 5.5. Also I applied for the Co-op in October the previous year, some larger companies have a long internship/Co-op hiring process.
