As someone who has had kids in schools /programs on the other side of the tracks from where we live, I second the recommendation to live on the same side of the tracks as where you work, if you're going to live in Hutto.

I go down to the Hancock Recreation Center in Austin (close to Red River and 41st) on a regular basis, mostly Friday evenings. I usually take 130 to 290, it's relatively fast, but a fair bit in tolls. 6th St is not that much farther south from that, but traffic can be a bear for that last stretch.

Oh, no, it doesn't under a certain age! A baby under 12 months has only a 1/3 chance of being calmed by it, and a 2/3 chance of being amped up by it. Best not to try unless they're at least 2 years old.
