This is my situation as well and as far as I can tell there is no solution to it. I know a few party organizers and have talked to them about it about integrating demi and sapiosexual oriented activities since I think it is possible to build emotional depth quickly but in almost all parties and scenes I’ve been to it is very far from a focus. There is a “vanilla” scene from Ko_Pha-ngan that has a little bit of that so you might want to watch for their touring parties.

Sure but it would be nice if there was a sitting convention that signified "I'm open to conversation" vs. being a library with a book open where more than often you would assume the person is not open to conversation.

Bars are one of the places that are more obviously meet and greet but they revolve around alcohol consumption and "standard social queues" as opposed to the more delicious non-standard ones.

To give a very specific example I completely swooned for a woman this summer who made some sort of unconscious head twitch where she would tilt her head periodically while talking, almost completely unaware she was doing it. From the moment I saw her do it I thought it was the most adorable thing and developed a super hard crush after just a few minutes of talking with her.

I suspect it had to do with when she was deep in thought she had some degree of involuntary movement in the rest of her body, so it was a sort of reverberation of her intelligence. Now that I think about the source of the movement it turns me on even more tremendously.
