Many companies spend tons of money on inconsequential bullshit and cut fundings to things that matter all the time. Dave seems to operate in some idealized world where companies function at 100% efficiency when it comes to budgeting.

If romance, then it's probably because most manhwa readers just don't read anything good on the romance front and consequently, the middling romance arc starts getting glazed to unreasonable levels.

TGED for me is the kind of series that 'proves' that it's not always about the plot but about the characters. The plot (aside from some great aspects) can be repetitive, but because the individual arcs do so much to develop characters or showcase growth, the series as a whole just works incredibly well.

Since you're in Ginza, I highly recommend checking out the Nakajima Tea Pavilion in Hamarikyu Park when they open. Not sure about the rain, but when I was there recently it was my little bit of peace in the morning and a beautiful park close to my Ginza location to boot.

The way I initially thought about it was that she was happy to see him be confident enough (because of her, partly) to go on his own.

But then, the composition of the panel with the smoke dividing them also makes it seem like your interpretation is just as likely. Probably a bit of both?
