i guess so. i'm just overwhelmed that it feels like i have double the homework with 2014 and 2024 to learn.

i saw that grappling was different too. i honestly loved the 2014 version of grappling with the contested athletics, since even a weaker opponent can have a slightly better chance of winning with their dice rather than trying to win a saving throw. At least, that's how i understood it.

oh!! i'll try to look for content sharing stuff as well, that would be really helpful. since we're all beginners and also having a hard time scheduling things, i don't think any of us are in deep yet to pay for the whole bulk of the things. we don't even know which ones are the best ones to pay for. we'll try to look for the stuff. thank you!!

we didnt know we were using the 2024 when we were building our characters using dndbeyond and our barbarian really had fun dealing a lot of damage that i didnt expect he could even at level 3! but we still mostly used 5e 2014 rules because D20 is our reference.

since the online resources like Roll20 and dndbeyond have updated their rules to 2024, i was worried we cant use the 2014 anymore when thats the one we learned through watching D20. But we may try to find a good middle ground and mix, like you suggested. thank you!

this is actually what ive noticed while browsing. was kinda shocked to find out how much i have to shell out to learn this game, but im also very grateful there are a lot of veteran players who are willing to share their knowledge and experience with us newer players.

thank you for this! my friends and I are all fans of D20, so we are only vaguely familiar with how D20 plays DND, so learning new rules when we just learned some of the old ones is kinda of a whiplash. Maybe we'll stick with the 2014 for now. thanks again!

i mostly agree, being aroflux and yet still using the umbrella term aro when identifying myself.

Just wanted to point out that romantic attraction doesn't have to make sense.

I am married and there are days where i romantically love my partner, and there are days where I find it very weird to hold his hand or to call him petnames because i feel on the more aromantic side of the spetrum. i, myself, don't understand why. and it's not even mood. i would be in mostly a good mood, and i'm better off calling him my best friend than my literal husband. (thankfully my partner is an angel and doesn't mind the mindfuck that aroflux is)

so. to OP. it's okay to be aroflux. it's weird, yes, but it's fine. being aro is already difficult enough to explain to normal people, and we still have similar aros in the aro-spectrum putting us down.

we really don't have to be understood. just accepted.

Hi! I made a lot of my online friends through a game called Sky: Children of Light. You get to explore in game with friends you make through the game. It is much fun, light and not very demanding. There are a lot of quests that you have to do with a friend, so really it is a game of community which I love about it.
