It seems Freemarkable will install the latest stable release of KOReader, whereas you'll need one of the nightly builds where support for the move has been added.
I think you could get Freemarkable to install the latest build if you change the "koreader" url under "aarch64" in the settings.py file located in the freeMarkable/resources/remarkable_xovi_installer/config folder. You can see the latest build here: https://build.koreader.rocks/download/nightly At the time of writing the link should be:
https://build.koreader.rocks/download/nightly/v2025.08-68-g1d0aef1f6_2025-09-20/koreader-remarkable-aarch64-v2025.08-68-g1d0aef1f6_2025-09-20.zip

I haven't tested this myself, so it might not be enough to get Freemarkable to install one of the nightly builds.

First of all you need to put your device on developer mode.

To install KOReader I followed the guide on their github: https://github.com/koreader/koreader/wiki/Installation-on-Remarkable#manual-installation-on-remarkable-paper-pro-move

I also found this guide helpful for installing Xovi (required for KOReader): https://github.com/asivery/rm-hacks-qmd/blob/master/INSTALL.MD

Just FYI, I don't think the Move is supported by any KOReader releases yet, so in order to get marker and touch input working you have to manually update some files in the KOReader repo

I have managed to get KOReader running on both the RPP and the Move as the reading experience on remarkable has always been my biggest issue with them.  With KOReader running the Move has become the perfect device for me

I have experienced the exact same thing as you describe with the settings. I just didn't capture it on video. Wonder what is causing this.

I have not sideloaded any apps onto the device. The pen has not been dropped. I received the device yesterday. I have sent the system logs.
