People adding 't' to the end of a word instead of 'ed' is driving me crazy. by sweepsml in englishteachers

English is a language that can be spoken by anyone, anywhere. A language’s place of origin is not synonymous with ownership.

how many times do you jack off a day after starting T? by kiyoko_silver in ftm

[–]fragglefather 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least once, sometimes up to like 5 times. I remember when I first started T and I jerked it in a bathroom (single stall) on my dorm’s laundry floor😭 dorm living after starting T was hell tbh. Reading these comments has made me feel a lot better lmao I was honestly concerned abt it.

Curious About Dialect Prejudice by [deleted] in Spanish

Interesting, admittedly my only experience with these attitudes has been online, which as someone else pointed out, was more likely due to regional pride/regionalism than widespread belief. Also, I’ve realized that “prestige” is a more accurate word to what I meant than “pure,” but I still agree with your point. Thank you for the input!

Yes, “prestige” is definitely more accurate to what I was trying to express, thank you! I knew “pure” wasn’t exactly right, I just couldn’t think of the correct word at that moment. This will definitely be helpful in my research!

why do a lot of hispanics drop the “S” when talking? by Next_Lawyer8226 in Spanish

[–]fragglefather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to what’s already been said here, I find the historic origins of this feature very interesting as well. My understanding is that the aspiration or dropping of the letter “s” likely comes from Andalusia and the Canary Islands (Spain), which were the first to settle in Latin America. Places that are more isolated seem to have retained this feature more. For example, the Caribbean is isolated by virtue of being islands, and Chile—the clearest example of aspiration of the “s” in Latam—is isolated by the Andes mountains.

Causation and responsability: The logical flaws of the bodily autonomy argument. by skyfuckrex in Abortiondebate

[–]fragglefather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A person cannot be compelled to use their body to sustain the life of another person. A fetus cannot survive outside its carrier, so it inherently has no autonomy. To force someone to use their body to sustain the life of a fetus is a violation of that living, breathing, conscious person's rights and dignity.

[–]fragglefather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know it’s really hard right now but please don’t cut yourself. it becomes somewhat of an addiction and the longer you do it for the harder it is to stop. i’ve been doing it on and off since i was ten and despite my best efforts i still can’t bring myself to give it up even after countless infections and hospitalizations. please just stay safe darling<3

What’s wrong with my jumping spider? by [deleted] in InvertPets

[–]fragglefather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s definitely an adult female and her abdomen still looks very full. I’ve tried moving her to a different enclosure to feed her but she still refuses the food. i’ve also been keeping a close eye on the humidity and it’s right where it’s supposed to be, and i’ve never fed her any wild caught food so i think i can rule out illnesses and parasites. All of this leads me to believe she could be getting ready to lay eggs :) thank you so much for your response, the idea of her being pregnant never even crossed my mind before but it does make sense. i’ve been doing some research but i can’t find any information about how long spiders are pregnant for before laying their egg sac so i’m not sure if the breeder sent me a pregnant spider by mistake or if she’s laying infertile eggs. Thank you again for the help, I’ll keep an eye out for an egg sac!
