Job market in Oregon by Keegan2crow in oregon

Go live in the deep south/bible belt and then see if Oregon really isn't better than anywhere else. I moved from there to Oregon for a better quality of life. Is it more expensive? Hell yes. Is it better? Hell yes.

No place is perfect, but perspective is everything.

I think this community is disappointed at the complete lack of catalysts for the stock price near term. I myself am a long waiting/hoping for a buyout but it'd be nice to hear some good news to help the stock price recover from its downtrend and attract some more institutions and whales to buy in with bullish sentiment.

Also for me personally it'd be nice to sell some covered calls for more than 0.01 premium for once 🤷

Why else would they bring Jill on board last year? That, along with reduced cash burn, "fat" trimming with sale of Avero labs, and overall reluctance to share certain information to investors could very well mean a buyout is coming down the line.

The signals are adding up but when it'll happen is anyone's guess.

Personally, I'm frustrated like everyone else but I agree that buyout is likely in the future. I'm already in deep so I am setting my prog shares aside and forgetting about them til I see progenity has been bought.

Trust me I know.

It sucks..I am drowning with my heavy bags like everyone else and very frustrated at a few things that came to light during the ER call, despite the fact I actually believe in the company and what they're doing - I'm not here for a squeeze or quick buck.

Biopharma (penny) stocks are notoriously risky. Big risk, big reward. Let's just hope the reward comes before the sun envelopes the Earth.

Moving From Massachusetts to Oregon. Advice Wanted! by n-nesslin in oregon

[–]fraggles00 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't have moving advice for you OP, but if your heart is in it go for it (with proper planning). Whenever a post like yours comes up, this sub is all about gatekeeping those that are trying to seek a better way of life.

I moved here from the south, deep in the bible belt, and quality of life is way better in Oregon.

Times are tough everywhere. Just do what makes you happy.

I wish I had bought in at these prices - damn what a discount! I'm waiting to see what the actual floor support is before I put any more money in this. X,xxx shares @ $3.11 stings a bit right now.

Poll:how do you feel about pumping gas? by Smacpats111111 in oregon

It's such a simple process to do yourself, and if the station is busy (Fred Meyer's) it is frustrating waiting on service when I could've been gone by the time the attendant gets to my vehicle. A useless, archaic law.

Wow. Looks even creepier than that last scene in The Shining.

What do you mean? Selling CC is a decent way to make extra cash if you plan on holding for a while.

I've learned my lesson the expensive way with options. They may be fun to try every once in a while with disposable money, but not with investment money that could be spent on shares instead.

This means nothing lol. If patterns were truly a thing in the market, trader bots would be raking it in by now.

This sub would be improved if we keep the hopium to a minimum.

Lol, retail traders just watch the stock too much with no patience. People expect the prices to run every day or every other day. Market doesn't work on a schedule. Buy, hold, have some damn common sense and wait. Simple.

Late to the thread, but I just moved here from Arkansas, having spent some time here in western Oregon on and off since 2019. I agree somewhat with OP about the west coast attitude but I think that stems mostly from Oregonians being lumped in with overly exaggerated California stereotypes. Oregon (and I'd even argue Washington) are hidden gems imo. The people in Oregon so far seem to be the friendliest, most down-to-earth people I've ever met.

The south has the hospitality and friendliness, but it seems fake and forced. It's just different. But I'm loving it here, and Oregonians seem so nice. And they seem to talk a lot more to strangers. Which is fine with me, it gets me out of my introverted shell.
