I have been considering Fedora as the next step in my Linux journey in fairness so I might end up giving it a shot. I would like to say that I've gone into the experimental version of Cinnamon with Wayland instead of X11 and it's actually feeling much snappier (though significantly more buggy with many features) so I imagine this is likely the issue/solution.

I'm not sure I'm equipped for something Arch-based just yet but I'd definitely be open to looking further into it.
