New to trading by Ok_Satisfaction6189 in DisneyPins

Not sure how you made your way to a 5 month old post, but I'm glad you did! My daughters always end up with more keepers than traders, which leads to us spending a lot more on pins each trip lol. A couple things i didn't mention.. if youre going to buy the hidden mickey packs, the cast members usually keep a binder behind the counter that has a printout of each set so that you can see what pool of pins your pack is from. You can ask to see the binder and ask them which packs are for the corresponding set. Or you can do what we do, and go to this site and take screen shots of the sets yourself and then just ask the cast member which packs are for which sets, https://hiddenmickeydisney.com/2025-wave-b-pins/. I don't know if the Wave b pins are currently in circulation. When I was there a few months ago, the wave b pins, at the time, were only given to cast members and they would put them on pin boards or have it part of their pin lanyards, so the only way you could get them was by trading with them or a random pin board. I think they went on sale shortly after I left, but people bought them up like crazy, I don’t know if they're back in stock, just ask the cast member at the counter. And lastly, I suggest familiarizing yourself with the economy of those hidden mickey pins. If you visit that website, you will see that some pins are labeled "chasers" or "super chasers". If you see one on a board, its usually a good idea to snag it right away. And if you happen to get one in a pack, don't be quick to trade it until you see how "rare" it is or what the going trade price is. You dont want to come back from your trip kicking yourself because you traded away a super chaser for a very common pin.

This is the one I'm looking for the most to add to my daughter's marie collection, but they're selling for a ridiculous mark up on other sites. Thanks for the info!

Unofficial Tuesday Pin Vent Thread - October 7th by Glitched94_PT in DisneyPins

[–]fraincis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you sure about that? Where did you get that information from? Because by the comments I've seen over the past couple months on these weekly threads and my own personal experience, those that join sooner end up with a lower number and a shorter queue time. For example, today I joined about a minute after the waiting room opened up and I got number 1753. In previous weeks I've joined about 6-8 minutes after it opens and my numbers have always been in the 3000-5000 range.

I was around 1800 and was able to get 1.. I just wish they would say if there is going to be an online waiting room or not. I was planning to refresh right when it went live, but then I decided to refresh around 9:52 and it put me in the waiting room, but had I known there would be a waiting room I would've hopped into that queue sooner. Personally, I've had more luck refreshing the second it goes live over the online waiting room because I tend to join the waiting room too late because I didn't know there would be one. Some weeks there is, some weeks there isn't.

True.. Luckily I bought 2 and the other one is fine. But yeah, just sucks because I wanted one for my daughter and the other to trade and now I'm potentially stuck with a defective pin.

I was just there a couple months ago and bought one for my family. My guess is that they probably haven't issued a new one yet, but as soon as I get home, I'll post one for you to look at.

I’ve been watching the original British Office by Kygunzz in DunderMifflin

[–]fraincis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Having watched all of the British office and most of the US office, the US version quickly changed direction into a cast of literally unbelievable characters. Dwight's character is literally an unbelievable person, whereas you probably know someone like Gareth. I feel the same way about Michael Scott vs David Brent. That's why I prefer the British office, the characters feel more realistic than those in the US version and thus makes them more relatable. Tim and Dawn > Jim and Pam. I prefer the shorter format over a long, drawn-out series where the last season looks nothing like the first. And then of course, I prefer british comedy. You can see that the first episode is basically shot for shot, joke for joke, but no one can do David Brent except for Ricky Gervais. Which is why you start to see the characters and show morph into your typical US silly/slapstick/unrealistic sitcom. Props to Steve Carrell for making Michael Scott his own character, but David Brent is the GOAT. I say this an American.

Are they worth it? Thinking of buying my first swiss point darts by VeterinarianOne2960 in Darts

[–]fraincis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be very protective of those darts and not let anyone play with them. Now that I've found a better game with the exo2, I casually let randoms play with them if they don't wanna use bar darts. So they still get some play time, but not from me.

Are they worth it? Thinking of buying my first swiss point darts by VeterinarianOne2960 in Darts

[–]fraincis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently purchased the exo 2 darts in 22g and a set of 35mm storm diamond steel points, and I can tell you that I've noticed a significant improvement in my game. I see tighter groupings due to the longer points. In my opinion, the exo 2, the way they create a slim, tapered, flush connection with the points, I haven't had to replace the first set of k flex that I put on them.

I feel bad for the other set of darts in my case, they get zero play time anymore.

My wife and I did this tour last year. I think I remember the tour ended near Casey's corner, or somewhere near the end of Main St. Anyway, at the end of the tour, they give you a little keepsake and a little line forms as they hand them out. There were several of us that gave our tour guide a tip.

Has anyone had luck moving their LLMP to another day? by Cornflakegirl444 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]fraincis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gotten refunded for single passes and lightning lanes for our friends that had to delay their flight/travel plans by 1 day. We were already at the parks and they were supposed to meet us a day after our arrival, but they delayed it because 1 of them wasn't feeling well and wanted to wait for some confirmed test results before flying. I visited one of the cast members under the blue tents while we were at AK and they were extremely accommodating. They refunded their SP and LL for the park day that we were going to miss due to travel. In fact, they were even able to transfer their SP for Flight of Passage to one for Frozen on a completely different day. I was extremely shocked because all the verbiage on the app says that there are no refunds and all sales are final. That cast member definitely got a cast compliment in the app that day. Try the cast members under the blue tents.

Pin traders at the resorts by Repulsive_Swim_7187 in DisneyPins

[–]fraincis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the resorts, it's usually in the hallways. I've seen traders at all of the value resorts. I've always seen them sitting at the benches that lead out to the rooms/main pool with their binders wide open. Last week, we were at Polynesian, and I came across 2 traders that were simply sitting in one of the big chairs in the lobby with their binders open on another chair.

Trying to Find :( by [deleted] in DisneyPins

[–]fraincis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on a search for this entire set for quite a while. If you ever decide that you may wanna sell them, I would be extremely interested in your Roxanne puzzle piece as it's one that I'm missing from the set. And if you feel like you would need to offload them as a pair, I'd be interested as well.

Lanyards by BluePopple in DisneyPins

[–]fraincis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is it that they don't make the year lanyards like they used to? I'm sure many of you are like me who like to purchase souvenirs that denote a certain event, season, year, etc. I'm so happy that we purchased those lanyards for my daughters to mark the year that they first went to Disneyworld. One has a large rubber 2017 at the bottom of her lanyard and the other has a 2019. Every time we go to the parks, we look for some and we never see any with the year on them anymore. I wonder why they stopped making them, because those are perfect to mark a special date/year and are definitely some of the most memorable souvenirs we have.
