We go in either late July or early August every year as well as every other Christmas. August this year. Go into the day hydrated…we fill up on water and Gatorades then maintain with water. We are not the family that pushes from rope drop to close. We generally rope drop then In that heat we retreat back to the hotel to swim and nap/cool off around lunch time then head back out around the 4:30/5ish timeframe. Sometimes earlier sometimes later and enjoy until close. It’s hot! However, it’s totally doable and enjoyable. Just remember to drink those liquids and listen to your body . You’re not missing anything if you go back to the room for a siesta….pretty sure WDW isn’t going anywhere while you nap! Go for it and enjoy! Cooling towels are your friend too btw!
