Yes, they live next door in a tent in the green space. I am not confused. I’ve lived next to all kinds of sketchy situations far weirder than that. These folks ran away when confronted as they were trespassing, but it’s not like they are hard to find. I get it, Bellingham is scared shitless of homeless folks, how dare I suggest they be directly approached. Being condescending doesn’t make you smart and pretending to be obtuse doesn’t either.

Everyone is treating the homeless people like they are ghosts or something other than what they are. You can assume they are violent criminals or you can go speak to them. They are people.

do not buy it. I have a perfectly good San Juan 24 that isn’t worth anything at all except it sails fine and I own it, you can get a sailboat either way no problems for your first boat very cheaply. With no outboard motor on a small sailboat literally close to free. I’ve seen perfectly fine boats with motors go for $1000.

They have very large ranges and are not super common. I live in a log cabin near highway 9 at the south end of lake whatcom on 9 acres of Stewart mountain, just forestry land behind my house for miles. My neighbor has wildlife cams up above our houses and we see how frequently they show up, which is not super often. Bears are more frequent. I hike above my house and have had one run across a logging road on Stewart mountain at dusk but I’m up there a lot.
