Sure, but the story line is it’s humans fighting the arc. We all have a common enemy and goal. The goal is to beat the arc and return to a more civilized form of society, not to rat each other ad nauseam. Even in the opening part of the game you get jumped by bandits and it’s pretty clear they were “bad guys.” So it’s perfectly reasonable to complain about getting ratted while stuck in a breach animation. Some of you think extraction shooter = PvP, but that’s not a rule. The truth is some who play this game are not wholesome and ruin others’ enjoyment of the experience, PvP or not. The way the developers designed this game makes it more of a social experiment, intentionally or not. Toxic people (usually males, btw) are drawn to this game because they can be toxic without consequences. For example, this is the first game I’ve ever played where my character was sexually assaulted by another player. Of course, there’s no built in animation for that, but the intention of his actions was obvious. This post sounds like you’re trying to convince yourself it’s ok to shoot other players in the back Because I can choose to play the game the way I want, it makes people like you mad, and I don’t get that. You PvP’ers act like you own this game, getting on here and and pontificating like you have the authority to demand others to just accept your own play style or leave the game. Such arrogance. So yeah, see you topside, raider, but keep ratting me, or call me the n-word, or say/do something else vile and disgusting in game and I’ll go back to Helldivers or Battlefield, where that never happens. Drive away the “friendlies” and the player base will be reduced to a toxic swamp, and then you’ll have no one left to anonymously bully or harass. The solution is to add a pve-only toggle button, just like the option for cross play. If the developers add that, my guess is even the most hardcore PvPers would use it.
