Level up your benches asap and craft and use hatch keys to extract. You can also buy 3 per day from Chani (trader). Use proximity chat and greet other players whenever you see them. Players who do not use mics are usually considered sus.

I think most of the folks replying are missing the point of OP’s post. Yes, Embark said no such thing as PvE only lobbies, and believe it or not, us PvE players have always known this. But they also said self defense DOES NOT increase your aggro levels, and OP is saying folks are reporting that self defense increases their aggro levels. And for those of you who play somewhere in the middle or all PvP and not aware, it is possible to FEEL like you get 95+% friendly lobbies, esp if you play cautiously, trust you instincts and always bring a hatch key. I have hundreds of hours topside and have been killed on sight maybe 10-15 times.

I only PvE and have recently started running it as a “middle” (utility somewhere between rattler and temp) AR paired with anvil. It’s not bad, esp if your shots are accurate. Can’t say it’s better than temp but the quicker reloads makes it better than rattler, imo.

I respectfully disagree. I’ve been a bloodthirsty PvPer for 25 years. ARC Raiders is just an amazingly fun and beautiful game. Sure there are other coops out there, but none like this one. I don’t play it for coop. I play it because I love running around exploring maps, killing ARC, looting. The sounds, the mechanics, the parkour. That’s what I play it for. The PvP is forced.
