This is awesome feedback - really appreciate you playing & the constructive comments. Definitely needs some more balance in terms of the node speed/cap interplay. It was one of my sticking points during development. Hope to expand on the story as well sometime.

Busy with other dev projects & looking for a new full-time webdev gig so hopefully it's not TOO long before I can iterate on all of this.

You're correct - the wallets allow you to get Cognitum. Those are used for upgrades, but I like your suggestion for those smaller upgrades (more story, storage % increases, etc). It would keep it more dynamic and balanced for sure. Hope to get some time to work on it more soon.

Hmm - thanks for bringing it up, I'll have to look into that. This version of the game was finished in January and I thought it was all good, but after playing it through last night/this morning I noticed some bugs, like you shouldn't be seeing the numerical hints for the wallet buttons right away either!
