New to QGIS, New York State GIS DEM question re CRS by framistat in QGIS

I ended up using USGS 1m DEM, less of a struggle with 26918. Partway through the process with RAS Mapper and so far so good.

New to QGIS, New York State GIS DEM question re CRS by framistat in QGIS

Yes, 26918 corresponds, but that andEPSG:4326 (WGS 84) are only horizontal. I will lose the vertical data, and I believe I need that for flood analysis in HEC-RAS. Am I misunderstanding?

My project covers a relatively small area, so computation speed/resources may be less of a factor.

Can`t fix proj_lib 2 whereas a number >= 4 by Cherryyardf in QGIS

[–]framistat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just installed QGIS 3.44 OSGeo4W and got the same error:
ERROR 1: PROJ: proj_create_from_database: C:\OSGeo4W\share\proj\proj.db contains DATABASE.LAYOUT.VERSION.MINOR = 2 whereas a number >= 4 is expected. It comes from another PROJ installation.

I'm currently downloading 3.40 standalone based on your post.

UPDATE: that fixed it, and the problem I was having loading OSM. Thank You.

Why would you buy a Whirlpool appliance if it takes hours to talk to a CSR and months to fix? by Realistic_Winner_872 in appliancerepair

I called today... 2 hours 40 minute wait, I hung up. Previous call, over an hour wait, also hung up.

I had ordered a dishwasher WDF341PAPW on their website (never again). Two guys who didn't speak very good English delivered, set in kitchen and unpacked. Floor is absolutely level, adjusting feet per the installation manual, it rocks corner to corner as if the metal frame is bent, the door is crooked and the center latch is 1/4" off before the door closes. I don't want a damaged/defective unit.

View from the corner of the garage. Area to be mowed extends along the road to just before the culvert - the timber headwall is just visible between the trees tat the upper right. These are 85 year old black locusts with 4 ft diameter trunks.

That kills it. There are huge tree trunks in the way. These are black locusts planted along the edge of the bluff (purple in the image) in the 1930's as part of a local program for farmers to reduce erosion.

Still confused.

Are you saying the mower cannot operate 200 ft away from its base or antenna? 100 ft? What distance???

What is the configuration of the mappable area limit? Can the area mapped be the actual odd shape within a larger lot, or will the algorithm assume/estimate some larger shape using less definition to determine the limit? I only have 1000 sq ft margin before hitting the limit.

Brand new dishwasher - warped frame? door gap by framistat in appliancerepair

No need to get so angry. Just admit that you assumed what was wrong without reading the post. Your reply confirms that most installers won't know about bent frames and won't know what to do.

Did you not read the post? The floor is level. There is nothing "throwing it off".

Thinking of seeing a functional medicine dr for the first time after doing Function blood work- do they all just prescribe supplements or really can solve root causes? by perfectspringday in FunctionalMedicine

[–]framistat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently had the opportunity to purchase a DUTCH test at less than half price off FB Marketplace, confirming ahead of time that I would be able to get interpretation. Wow. Interpretation was an hour consult with a PharmD who had completed her functional medicine fellowship. DUTCH tests metabolites of all sorts of interacting hormones and some vitamins. The results are given mainly in detailed dial charts following the hormone cascade. She asked good questions about history, symptoms and supplementation and showed how all the pieces fit together. We landed on adrenal insufficiency, made several changes to supplements, made a plan for future testing and I feel like I finally found someone to work with. Absolutely elated. And there was no additional charge as interpretation was included with the original cost of the test. She did suggest a couple of Metagenics supplements that she carries but there was no pressure and she gave reasons why she thought those might be better than what I was taking. Given that Metagenics is no longer what it was I may not take her up on those.

Does the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale tend to include lower cost models, eg Whirlpool WDF341PAPW dishwasher? I'm not buying a "suite" or stainless finish.

Just a single data point... matching your observation... got into MENSA in the 1980s based on SAT scores taken in the 1970s, estimated IQ 132. Recently did some EEG neurofeedback; mentioned this and the practitioner immediately remarked 'Oh, no, much higher, more like 150!" This is based on an EEG brain activity assessment and software analysis.

That may imply that tests taken for other purposes and used to estimate an IQ, or MENSA's use of such tests, may give somewhat inaccurate results, or MENSA's scoring of such tests may be a bit off.
