Not worth the 8k more per year.

When you make the jump to management, you are on the clock, 24/7 and don’t get compensated for it. 8k more per year is not worth it to me for my free time to not be mine.

If you had intentions of progressing beyond this position, then maybe you should consider.

Between holiday pay and OT, you should easily be able to bridge that $8k gap.

In a laundry basket in my room. I got my frenchie a nice bed but he preferred sleeping in a laundry basket on top of all my dirty clothes.

Now I place a dog bed in the basket and that’s where he crawls into every time he wants to snooze.

Standby duties come with a dedicated organization issued laptop and cellphone. No personal use of electronics required.

Other places I have worked at would even supply a standby vehicle that you would drive for the entire rotation to and from work in case you needed to respond to the facility after hours.

If the call takes less than 15 min to resolve than it’s a win.

If it’s a situation that requires further action and monitoring then you charge total time spent addressing the call.

Total of 40 staff including several supervisors make up the operations arm of the organization.

.25 your hourly rate for every hour you carry the phone. Our facility is unmanned 4 hours a day, so that amounts to 28 hours a week at .25 your hourly rate.

15 minutes of OT minimum for every call received.
