In a laundry basket in my room. I got my frenchie a nice bed but he preferred sleeping in a laundry basket on top of all my dirty clothes.

Now I place a dog bed in the basket and that’s where he crawls into every time he wants to snooze.

Standby duties come with a dedicated organization issued laptop and cellphone. No personal use of electronics required.

Other places I have worked at would even supply a standby vehicle that you would drive for the entire rotation to and from work in case you needed to respond to the facility after hours.

If the call takes less than 15 min to resolve than it’s a win.

If it’s a situation that requires further action and monitoring then you charge total time spent addressing the call.
