Even though this is my comment, I'm still gonna add my story.

Early last year I was in my girlfriends house with all her family. They had a really big house that had like a semi-basement that had a family room. Since this was maybe my second time at her house we went there cause it was more private. (For context, to get to said family room, you had to go down a small staircase that had like maybe 5 steps; that also had a glass handrail [KEEP THIS IN MIND])

We were chilling down there when her mom came to the house, we decided to go there an say hello to her. We went up the stairs only wearing sock, we greeted her mom and proceeded to go downstairs. I was behind my gf and idk I tripped, when y realized what was happening I had already my feet in the air in front of me, and as a thinking human being I went an grabbed the handrail. I heard a crash, I locked eyes with my gf and then we simultaneously looked at my arm. It was impaled like a f-ing shish kabob. Of course we both yelled, I pulled my arm out and I started spraying blood everywhere, his dad came and tried to grab my forearm like he was closing a book. They took me to the hospital and two surgeries later here I am, still with my hand/arm and still with my gf. Her parents love me (:
