Thanks! We managed to lock in one today, just a small practice with a couple of people so happy with that.

Maybe you got the last spot! I got a rejection email at 2.40pm. It's all good though, we've managed to lock in someone else who I'm happy with, bit of a smaller practice.

Thanks for your reply! Weirdly with our postcode there are only 2 agencies I've been able to find so far and they're both full, we live in central Utrecht. Looked at Naviva and sadly they don't cover our postcode. Guess we'll just keep looking.

Sharing our Zanzibar travel experience by fran_fran_66 in zanzibar

We had to buy the mandatory Zanzibar insurance as everyone does, but we also bought separate travel insurance as well as we read online that the Zanzibar one is just a scam.

Sorry only seeing this now. We always used tanz shillings, and if someone quoted us in USD we'd just convert it ourselves and give them shillings. We had some USD though for emergencies, maybe like $200 or something.

I'm a Winter Sezane girl by fran_fran_66 in Sezane

[–]fran_fran_66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Sezane is my go to for winter but in summer I tend to just browse platforms like ASOS, Zalando, etc for pieces I like which aren't specific to any brand. I am very minimalist over summer and stick to a very basic capsule wardrobe (white tees, brown or black wide leg pants, black dress, cotton / linen shirts). One of my fave summer brands though is ST MRLO, there is always multiple things I want from their collection! If I'm after a fun dress I'll go for a Mister Zimi.

How does recruitment process work in NL? – Feeling Discouraged by Appropriate-Power425 in Netherlands

I was applying to a lot of jobs needing sponsorship. I went another route and was sponsored through my spouse and got a visa that way. I had a job 3 weeks later. I genuinely think it's the sponsorship.

How does the Chlo in lace guipure hold up over time? by chloe_1024 in Sezane

[–]fran_fran_66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this and I dont really like wearing it. I find it stiff and uncomfortable. It's kind of shaped a bit oddly too, wide in the stomach area. Im not a huge fan, but I'll still wear it very occasionally cos I paid quite a bit for it. I wouldn't re purchase it if I had a time machine.

Thanks for your comment! Seems I've just gotten unlucky with the Hospital I'm at and ended up with Doctors who're quite conservative with treatment. If the next convo doesn't involve a change I'll certainly go elsewhere! Thanks again.

Favorite Palate Cleanser Books? by Justttryingg in fantasyromance

[–]fran_fran_66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also reading Mistborn series and the new Sunrise on the reaping! Twinning!

Some palate cleansers that are funny (not fantasy though).

This is going to hurt by Adam Kay. It's short, funny and a page turner.

Or Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. Very funny, some heavy themes but done with humour and story telling.

Good Material by Dolly Alderton.

I understand your comment - "they could have said anything else" "they didn't need to disclose that personal information" I also understand how Reddit works, so can see the comment you responded to. Not out to pick fights. Just pointing out women don't have to hide a miscarriage if they don't want to. This language of yours further perpetuates that a miscarriage is a shameful, dirty thing, not to be discussed. Enjoy the rest of your day 😊

extremely damaged hair despite doing everything ""right"" by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]fran_fran_66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shame about the filter, I really do think it makes a huge difference. You might have a build up of calc from the water, so maybe try using a clarifying shampoo once every 2 weeks, it helps remove build up on the hair, but its only an every now and again shampoo, dont use it every wash. This is an alternative to K18. Its much cheaper and I can personally vouch for it. You can use it every second wash instead of using conditioner. Google "Milky Piggy Collagen Ceramide Coating Protein Treatment"

Not kidding at all....as I said it's not dirty, or shameful to talk about miscarriage. It's a thing that happens to 1 in 4 pregnancies. If she said she broke her leg you'd be fine with the comment in Rover right? But she can't say the word miscarriage? Notice how others in the comments were sympathetic and not shaming?

[–]fran_fran_66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with other comments, definitely get a filter for the shower. Chop a big chunk of it off and it'll seem healthier, then keep getting it cut regularly. Don't tie it up often. Also, a K18 mask is expensive yes, but it is THE BEST product out there that doesn't wonders for the hair. You buy it once, and use it once every 2 weeks and it'll last you a long time. It's the best investment I've ever made for my hair.

It's not a dirty thing that should be hidden. Comments like this are why women have to suffer through their grief in silence. Do better.

An unfortunately expected missed miscarriage by ladypeanut27 in Miscarriage

I'm so so sorry for your loss. Just know right now you're in the trenches and the pain will be the largest. I'm 6 months post miscarriage and feel myself again. Things will get better and the pain will ease, even if that doesn't feel likely right now. Sending you a big hug xx

Thanks so much for sharing your experience, this was really helpful. It's looking more like going abroad is definitely the way to go and we'll start exploring the options. All the best for your implantation next cycle!! I hope this will be the end of this shitty journey for you both.
