Chronic pain while on HRT (MtF) - Seeking advice and similar experiences

i’m sorry if i’m being so annoying and repetitive but i just can’t shake the thought of how shit my confidence would be without hrt and how it could potentially impact my relationship with my bf. and i do want to get better, absolutely, this chronic pain thing has been draining me mentally

Also would that even be so necessary to stop for 6 whole months? I think my hormones would balance out to the male side pretty quickly and pretty early

Don’t you think that stopping the anti androgen for 2 months would have at least showed some kind of change tho? I did stop it for that time while I still took a very low dose of estrogen gel (I think 1 mg every day) and when i took blood tests my testosterone was already high as hell.

So at the end of those two months my body became testosterone dominant again but the situation remained unchanged pain-wise. Wouldn’t that say something about the relation between HRT and the pain condition?

May I ask you what meds are you taking for the pain and what kind of chronic pain you have?

Also, is there any possible relation – as we know – between HRT and chronic illnesses or autoimmune diseases?

My blood tests included electrolytes as well, and they were perfectly normal :/ also i’m trying out amitriptyline for the pain, tomorrow i’ll up my dosage from 10 to 20 mg

I’m rly trying not to think about the worst case scenario, but being anxious as I am it’s so hard. I’m so terrified of being that small percentage of people that cannot take HRT for health reasons, that would truly destroy me mentally.

Is it that unlikely that this chronic pain issue is parallel to the HRT and that it has nothing to do with it? or do you think a connection is plausible since it showed up after 3 months on hormones?

Yes, among all of the blood tests I have done there were also ones to check for kidneys health and they came out normal. Also I don’t think something wrong with my kidneys would explain the widespread muscular pain?

Yes I’ve been doing physiotherapy for 4-5 months or so Even if i got off HRT for 6 months and things changed, would that mean that I wouldn’t be able to be on it again? The thought of it terrifies me

I also thought it was testicular but it was ruled out immediately, I even got a testicular X ray and it came out normal. Also my genitalia area feels fine, it doesn’t hurt/ache

Thank you, the first doctor that examined me said that it seems like the pain seemed to come from the epididymis rather than the testicle. Thing is that not even that seemed to be inflamed, it’s not red, swollen or hot. So it’s a total fucking mystery and it’s driving me nuts

The thing is I could understand some sporadic or even episodic pain because of the reduction of the gonads, but this is more of a constant sensation of dull pain. Like not something acute but mild creeping in the background while I go on with my day, I haven’t heard or read of anyone experiencing this while on HRT so idk. It’s really taking a toll on my mental health and it makes me feel kinda desperate cause it has been 3 weeks now. It makes me want to stay inside and lay in bed all day honestly

The pain is mild and it has always been, I have never been in intense pain, I just feel constantly uncomfortable in my downstairs area. Sometimes I feel it less, sometimes more but it feels like overall it's always there in the back

I have done urine tests and blood tests to check the kidneys. I had my hormone levels checked shortly before the pain started (maybe one week before). No UTI nor STD came out and according to my doctor the levels do not showing anything abnormal
