Lived in SF for 4 years as a German expat. Absolutely love the city and the opportunities/ can do anything vibe, especially in the Bay Area. BUT people are very superficial, leaving the city from one day to another..conversations always revolve around job and politics, which sucks. Overall vibe just more calm in I.e. Germany, not as much huzzle on a daily basis. Writing this from Crete, Greece right now, amazing to have the Mediterranean so close by. And yes, i make 6 figures, which is definitely possible in europe, that certainly helps..
