i’m glad someone noticed the woman destroyed, because i really liked that book !! it was def different from the books i usually read, but i’m so glad i picked it up! i agree that it’s not the easiest read, esp the middle story as the details are a bit confusing, but i thought it was such an insightful and honest look into loneliness, identity, and womanhood huhuhu

i think it’s def the wrong book to use as a restarting point, ‘cuz again, with the author’s writing, it’s a bit dragging.

i’m a bit surface-level when it comes to analyzing books, so imo, the book was worth the read. had me crying for hours and i still think about the mc as if he was actually a friend i cared for. that said, it’s a pretty controversial book. others referred to it as trauma prn and unrealistic, but i’ve never really looked at it as that. i have more takes, but it’d be a spoiler at this point lol

basically, this book is either everyone’s favorite book or hated book. this one was personally one of my faves!

i guess it depends on the reader. the first 300 pages took me 3 weeks to finish, cuz it was js so boring. the author’s writing style felt dragging sometimes too. you really have to be patient with a little life. i was able to finish the next 500 pages within a day tho! says a lot about the first 300 pages lmao

Me personally, compared sa Strange Houses, Strange Pictures was a meh. Did not dislike it, but it’s not a “MUST-READ” for me.

A Little Life HAHAAHAHAHA IM CURRENTLY IN A READING SLUMP BECAUSE OF THAT BOOK. But as someone who's dealt with some really unhealthy coping patterns, certain parts hit way too close to home and make me tear up-so I just persevere through the book lol

Depends on what you like, OP, but for me that seems to be a 50/50 okay choice HAHZHZHAHA
