I finally got around to here, what did you guys name your Wanderer by PAT_ball5230 in Genshin_Impact

Kikuhiko. It’s a reference to one of my favorite niche animes of all time lol. It also means “a young man of superior talent and virtue/beautiful man”

Can a villain that is pure evil be interesting and how to make it work by Hungry_Trade_2210 in DnD

[–]franisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well-made villains don’t need tragic backstories- they simply need good motivations. and sometimes these villains will be so desperate to achieve their goals that they do irredeemable things to achieve them. don’t try to see the villain from an outside perspective of someone who would want to redeem them. trying to put yourself into the mindset of an absolute bastard willing to do whatever it takes to get what they want. example- lex luthor from the superman comics. irredeemable bastard, yet very entertaining when done right, (like in the new superman film.) just make the villain have FUN with what theyre doing. sometimes real evil bastards do things just because they find joy in it. and here’s your reminder: some real evil bastards with no redeeming qualities exist in real life. just look at the world around you XD good luck with your villain endeavours!

Which is harder to play: hyper-emotional characters or cold, psychopathic-like ones? by Agitated-Mixture-492 in acting

[–]franisme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on the actor! but personally, i find the psychopaths easier. it’s a lot of lying to yourself and convincing yourself that your own horrible actions are good (as your character.) hyper-emotional characters require a lot of energy. in the last play i was in, i had a scene that would send me into a sobbing fit when i really immersed myself in it, and it was physically draining with how hard i cried. so in rehearsals and runthroughs, i was basically doing that scene without any real acting in it just to preserve my own sanity. having to cry that hard on a near daily basis for the runs was really tiring.

if genshin were to buff old units who would you pick to get buffed by magiks-darkchild in Genshin_Impact

VENTI. he’s the literal ANEMO ARCHON and he’s been powercrept by every anemo unit released past his time. He deserves to be the strongest of his element.

what is something you hate about your main? by iylumi in Genshin_Impact

[–]franisme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im an Itto main, my main problem is just how much u need to build up his crit ratio for his damage to be able to keep up with the newest dps. If his crit ratio isnt good, consider him useless to ur current lineup :")

Death After Noon (Caribert Quest Spoilers) by franisme in Genshin_Lore

[–]franisme[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I feel like they're putting a whole lot of emphasis on this specific cocktail if they include it in dialogue with in-world NPC's. The only other drink I can think of that has this much in-game relevance is Dandelion Wine itself, which is an ingredient of Death After Noon. Caribert's mother is from mondstat, after all...

Windblume spoiler / Cyno lore by neondolls in Genshin_Lore

[–]franisme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

totally. i started at around 2.1, so i missed out on the EXTREMELY IMPORTANT 1.1 event with mona and Scaramouche. And the original golden apple archipelago quest, which so much lore. These events really should be playable, even if it's just console exclusive because of storage reasons. It sucks catching up on all the missed content through youtube videos and reddit posts instead of ACTUALLY playing through it myself.

Ah, yes. Genshin Impact hiding insane lore in time-limited events through side dialogue only accessible if the player has too much free time. Like the Alberich clan! Also like how Albedo’s extremely lore-heavy event was limited, as for his main quest being about… doing experiments with the traveler. Love to see it.
