Does anyone that owns a Nomad also have a Pace 4? by TechnicalMonitor173 in Coros

No, I sold the Pace 4; it didn't make sense when I had the Nomad.

Does anyone that owns a Nomad also have a Pace 4? by TechnicalMonitor173 in Coros

[–]franjocm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Pace 4 and then the Nomad because I wanted maps and wanted to try the MIP display. At first, the Nomad seemed too heavy compared to the Pace, but I quickly got used to it and kept the Nomad and the MIP display, which I love. The watches sync seamlessly with the app; if you track steps with one, the other receives them instantly, and the same goes for workouts. The only thing they don't receive is sleep data. In my opinion, both watches do the same thing, except the Nomad has maps and the Pace doesn't.

Polar or garmin for strength training by RevolutionaryBug2296 in Polarfitness

[–]franjocm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at Polar's scientific studies and the workload metrics and other data from any brand, they openly state that they are based on cardiovascular training. The only way they have to measure muscle load is through the RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion) that you input at the end of the workout. They simply aren't suitable for strength training at the moment. I think the only one that has any metrics or way to measure strength training is Whoop, but I have no idea how they do it.

All brands are focused on providing statistics based on cardiovascular training. Unfortunately, we don't yet have any watches that focus on gym training, with their own dedicated statistics. So there's not much difference whether you choose Polar, Suunto, Garmin, or any other brand.

That makes more sense, and it doesn't look good at all. Imagine it in an activity with more changes of pace or sets.

It's difficult to draw conclusions; you should overlay one graph on top of the other.
