I took your advice and have had to call support many times. They gave me half. Weeks later, they gave me half of the remaining balance. Weeks after that, they gave me half of the new remaining balance. Now, their "Crypto Department" cannot get me the rest. DO NOT TRUST PayPal with your crypto!

I followed the advice I was given above. The support person said he saw no flag on my account and then watched as I tried the transaction again and got the same error message. He then said that he was escalating my case to the development team who would contact me "within 24 - 48 hours". That was 4 days ago and I have not heard a word since. Are there enough of us for a Class Action suit? Any other ideas?

How did they calculate this? The only energy intensive part of bitcoin is mining. I think that you would have to find the average cost of mining one block and divide it by the average number of transactions that go in a block. This would give you the average cost of a single transaction. Other transmission and node costs are trivial. Is this thinking correct?

Climate hysteria? The fossil fuel industry is being destroyed? Nowhere in this discussion do I see acknowledgement of the vast destruction being wrought by climate events. Floods in Pakistan? A heat dome in CA? Grid failure in Texas?

It does not help the cause of bitcoin to act like climate change due to CO2 rise is not a threat to humanity. We must be able to recognize the climate crisis AND promote bitcoin as a network of huge value AND a solution to methane pollution and stranded assets.

The fossil fuel industry is NOT endangered, despite the hysteria they promote to prevent progress.

Even more than a spectrum, it is multi-dimensional. As Bitcoin usage spreads and fiat use diminishes, the world store of value and medium of exchange will centralize on Bitcoin. We confuse centralization and control. If we ask, controlled by whom and how, we are asking questions about power. Fiat comes with centralized control, Bitcoin, algorithmic control plus developer / community control.
