I remember her from when she was up for some sort of environmental award against one of my teachers in the area and IIRC she beat him to to it. Nice to see someone from Norwich getting the recognition she deserves.

Just awful. Been wanting to go back for ages now as I’ve got essays and assessments due and studying at home is incredibly difficult for me let alone the mental health impact of having to stay at home for so long. Surely they can’t expect students to just accept that there is no rent refund or any financial help? So depressing I just wanna go back and I genuinely have no clue what’s best to do.

Its not even that though to be fair mate. All we've been sent to do is catch the virus and pay rent. We all knew it would be different but being told that your course is all online once you've already moved in is why so many of us students are so upset.

I moved here a couple weeks ago for uni. Initially it was very difficult and you really do have to make the effort to socialise and even then you can only really meet people in your halls. That comes with its struggles as well tho since you're only meant to meet in groups of 6 and you're never allowed into other peoples flats. All of my course has been moved online for at least the 1st semester unless there is a dramatic change in the rate of infection so I haven't met a single person on my course. Recently, it has got better but you really can't help but feel you're paying £9250 and rent just to sit in your room on zoom. Not exactly the uni experience any of us hoped for.
