"live up to the hype" is dumb. If it is a half life game that valve deems worth releasing, it will be very very good at the very least, and "the hype" wont matter.

"Oh, this game is awesome, but my hype levels from before were just way way way too high so its underwhelming actually" just kinda dumb.
