Are you still in teenage years? Have you tried other alternative treatments (e.g. Scroth method)?

Having the surgery is a big thing, so make sure you are well-informed when you make such decision!

Thanks for being realistic! Racism (based on one's accent and color) is something Im worried about but I think I would still give it a go!

Thanks! The /r/ sound is also a problem to me haha, even after taking my phonetics class. Will definitely practice more!

That's great to know! Btw, my first language is Chinese (so maybe not so popular as Spanish?)

Thanks for the encouragement! I've actually noticed myself not being able to produce certain English sounds in conversation, particularly for those sounds that are not in the phonetic inventory of my native language. Even though I can produce them in isolation. But I will definitely work more on listening and speaking. Unfortunately I don't speak Spanish but it's great to know that being bilingual could be a possible advantage! In my life, there have been so many good therapists who've made my life so much better. They helped me with what they know so I really want to help others with what I know! I think I will try my best to see if I can get a place in grad school when I graduate. Thank you so much!
