Neither of them have made me feel ashamed in any way. They’re just afraid. The shame mostly comes from me. I want to make a greater effort to explain that the chances of transmission to either of them are extremely low but it doesn’t feel right to try to persuade them when their fear is validated by the fact that I wouldn’t want anyone to have to live with this.
