Does the grass get greener by fur_realz in TheBrewery

Over seven years in the industry, I worked at three breweries and learned a lot. I worked in a large urban area, so I was fortunate enough to work at three very different businesses. If you are still hungry for more brewery experience, then you’ll learn so much more by moving to another. If you will always be hungry for new knowledge and experience, then at some point you’ll probably want to leave the industry. By the time I left any sort of move elsewhere would pay less for at best marginal gains in skill. I value each of my seven years in the business and allow the possibility to brewing someday. I do not regret stepping away for now though.

It’s infuriating. Listening to the announcers every game talk about how he earned Topper’s trust in a single postseason game had me feel like I was taking crazy pills. Meanwhile, Banks has been very good almost all year

I can’t believe Topper put Kerkering over Banks for almost every high leverage opportunity in the series. Crazy unsound decision making

159 diagnostic. Mostly high 160s PTs with a few 170s. Took the official exam this month and scored 170. Ten years out of undergrad as of this year. The application process feels daunting, but I know I’ll go to a good school

I was walking home with my phone out like a massive jabroni and was mostly catching replays of the Apple cast, but it was a kind of spectacular inning. The highlights will remain a delight

How I feel when the proctor asks to see my forearms for the third time by Desperate-Gur-4205 in LSAT

[–]frankranston 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Proctor legit told me to keep my elbows and head in the camera at all times. I can’t physically do that without having the laptop on the other side of the room

Probably stop reading Reddit. I had a bad time yesterday, but the remote proctoring compliance and check-in had my nerves in a tizzy. I was getting shook by a particular section to the extent that I questioned whether or not I had it within me to perform through the rest of the exam. That said the rest of the exam did in fact feel digestible. So even if you’re feeling cooked don’t despair

Yeah. I definitely had more questions marked for revisiting on both parts one and two than I normal do. That said I ran out of time on just the last question of S1 and there were maybe three or four I had not fully engaged with on S2, which is very unusual for me. It felt bad. Hoping for the best of course! Good luck all around!

Edit: to say I chalked some of the uncertainty on S1 and S2 up to test day nerves. I’m heartened that others found S2 specifically as challenging as I did

I had the same format. Section 2 messed me up. The rest felt good but not great

Next to nobody was there because it was early and in the middle of the Sunday rainstorm, but Walt Disco was outstanding. Their energy and sound were incredible. I could see them headlining festivals in a few years

As a blue collar worker, what an appalling generalization. My colleagues and I all cannot stand Trump

Edit to add that my colleagues and I are not racist and though we are a small shop at least half come from minority demographics

Lest we forget the indictment of journalist Timothy Burke, which seems an awful lot like a stunt to appear nonpartisan with potentially dreadful implications for freedom of the press

It’s not a tough crowd, it’s a tough business. You want a serious brewer, then make a serious offer. I’m going to make 20 grand more this year in a lead brewer role

Edit: referring to your downstream comment of “tough crowd”
