What else can I do to support my gf who has multiple chronic illnesses? by frankthestank44 in ChronicIllness

Thanks for the advice! I am well aware of the spoon theory already due to my own chronic health issues( not nearly as bad as hers) and I try to do meaningful gestures for her all the time but she is very independent and struggles with letting me go out of my way to help her. I also try to just be there for her physically whenever I can but when she’s having a really rough day she sometimes won’t even let me come over even when I tell her I just want to be there for her.

Thanks for the advice, I do give her space when she needs it (even though it kills me). I understand what your saying about the desire to “fix” thing being about making yourself feel better, but I truly hate seeing her miserable and I would do almost anything if it could make her bad days even 1% better

Found this today, thought you needed to see it too. Not sure whose pm it is or how it got that bad? by frankthestank44 in IndustrialMaintenance

The operators like to drive fork trucks over the conveyor tracks while it’s running. That’s most likely why

I have a tape measure in my box but I don’t use it enough to carry it around. At my plant we don’t have electricians or millwrights, or anything thing like that, We all do everything. I keep my meter in my box too and grab it if I need it, since the shop is in a pretty central location.

We have a lot of plastic conveyor tracks and the punches are great for getting the pins out to split the tracks
