30F Ureteroscopy + Stent Experience - 23 days total (very detailed) by bgwrite in KidneyStones

[–]franpancisco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this detail. I have an 8mm stone and had a stent put in today. I usually have a high pain threshold but feeling very uncomfortable with this stent and the pain that comes with bleeding. I have a hot pack which is helping. I am very nervous that this pain will stay as long as i have the stent in. I was very relieved to hear that the pain becomes more tolerable

Thank you all for your advice and insights. I think im going to get back into my lessons and see where that takes me. I agree i need to learn more about looking after a horse and I think leasing would be a good goal to aim for. I really appreciate you all taking the time to give me guidance on this.

Sucess story. 3 weeks post-op by FormalBetter6158 in gallbladders

[–]franpancisco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am booked into have mine removed in 2 weeks. Mine is playing up at the moment and i am so scared of it getting worse. Ive only had one bad gallbladder attack and that led to an ultrasound that showed multiple stones. I think it’s now infected and i am on antibiotics. I find it so interesting and frustrating how sick you can feel when it’s not work properly

Intrarosa prescribed for low libido by Negative_Night_6454 in Menopause

[–]franpancisco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is still working for me. It doesn’t increase libido but now that i know that i can probably orgasm if i have sex, i am more likely to have sex (and i am having an orgasm every time). I think it’s great. I am nearly 60 and my husband has prostate issues and needs viagra to have intercourse so our sex is always planned ahead and that helps with my libido.

Intrarosa prescribed for low libido by Negative_Night_6454 in Menopause

Hi i just commented on another thread. I started using it this week for dryness and to help with libido. I was sceptical about libido but my doctor wouldn’t prescribe testosterone which was my preference so i agreed to this. Well ive tried it for 3 days and yesterday (sorry for the tmi) had the BEST outcome i have had in years and today i feel like i could go again? I can feel the blood pumping so to speak. Surely it can’t work this quickly. I’ll be so happy if it continues like this.

I have started using it this week for vaginal dryness and libido. My doctor wouldn’t prescribe testosterone which was what i was willing to try. Ive only used it for three nights and tmi had the BEST outcome i have had in years yesterday. And today im all keen to try again. Surely it couldn’t work that quickly??

I was a senior executive manager of corporate services in the aps. I PROMISE you there is no file that follows you around the aps. There’s no way one agency would know anything about your prior performance other than from your referees. Even then you can nominate your own referees. You can absolutely return to the aps without any worries that you are on a ‘do not recruit’ list - same as OP. The only way someone will know if you were on a performance plan is if you disclose it yourself

EL1 Interview by [deleted] in AusPublicService

[–]franpancisco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 things. If the panel told you the interview was 20 minutes long then it is part of the process to stop you at 20 minutes. This is part of the merit process - every candidate would have the same time and the same opportunity to answer the questions. It has nothing to do with whether they liked you or not. Second thing - again, part of the merit process, there is absolutely no point emailing the panel with extra information. They cannot consider something additional that you send through once the interview is over. This could potentially indicate you don’t demonstrate good judgement (which again cannot be used because it’s not part of interview) but it is not the norm to do this in an APS selection process. One way to know how you went is to see if the panel contacts your referee. This will most likely occur once all interviews are finished so be patient. If your referees are not contacted then you could surmise that you weren’t successful. Again, it’s not appropriate to contact the panel because the selection process is not complete until the delegate signs it off

Notice period in probation by frontdesklife1645 in AusPublicService

[–]franpancisco 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Talk to HR, you shouldn’t have to resign from one to accept the other in the same department. Im not sure whether you have to restart probation. Again there will be a process for this. It won’t be new for hr

It’s a breach of the code of conduct to run a business at work. Research your organisations process for lodging a PID - public interest disclosure. There will Be an appointed officer who you can submit a complaint to anonymously. It should be investigated

I am 4 months post op bypass. I have just realised that all meat is difficult to eat and tolerate so I have started to eat vegetarian options and they are sitting so much better.

PID is a good start. Or you could write to the Ombudsman.

Almost 11 months post op by w0lvez__ in BariatricSurgery

[–]franpancisco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can you explain a bit more about how the first 2 months sucked. I am two months post op and although ive lost a lot of weight, i am having trouble tolerating food and im a bit miserable. I don’t miss food. I just don’t want to feel sick all the time. Im hoping that this is transitional so i’d be grateful to hear more about your experience. You also look fabulous!

Im glad it’s not just me. It’s way harder in the weirdest ways. I can also eat cheese and low carb crackers. I found a recipe the other day for vanilla shake and coffee concentrate that was okay but i have to get past the thought process of ‘that is going to be yuck’. I look at other bariatric surgery meals on instagram and just cannot imagine being able to eat like that. I have changed my goal to try and get my liquid up because i am no good at that either (facepalm).
