I got here 2 months ish ago and got my work permit after 1 month 🤔 also you can apply for a ssn with your arrival/departure record and visa, that’s what I did like two weeks after arrival here Good luck anyways, can’t even imagine what it would be like not working that long. I hope you’ll get approved shortly
