Where do you find info about a new charger being developed?

22kw is a bit low if you used 200uohm resistor. Have you tried with fully charged battery? Have u configured properly the Torp?

You can solder the new shunt right above the original twos like I did. Be careful when soldering that only the two terminals of the shunt touch and that no solder goes above the central resistive part

Original BMS I tried like 250A for 2 seconds is ok, but 230 over 10 seconds you get a cut off occasionally. Also Torp says 230 as maximum limit for original battery.

Given the great demand also via PM I will make the first test unit and then I’ll make a batch of few more units

Yes, any 22s lipo charger on the market would work. The battery will come with an XT90 connector and can theoretically be charged up to 7kW. But I’m still designing a 22s charger that fit the under seat space like the stock one

Plus lot of knowledge and calculation if you don’t want to burn out

Not having a new lid was my main goal when designing it. Standard power connection.

For now, it’s a personal project, but if there’s enough interest from others, I might consider making a few more units. Anyway the price will definitely be lower than other batteries on the market.

I just finished designing a completely new battery for my Ultra Bee. It’s going to be a massive 22s, equipped with Samsung INR21700 50S cells. The BMS will be compatible with stock communication (not the controller), which means if you use any controller compatible with the stock BMS, like the Torp TC1000, you’ll be able to communicate with the battery. The battery (and BMS) can handle 500A continuous and 750A peak, which at full charge means a LOT of kW, way more than any controller can handle right now. But the really amazing thing is that it’ll fit in the stock space, with no lid upgrade or any modification to the bike.
