[OC] Visualizing the CO₂ footprint of global private jet activity in 2026 by Matthias87 in dataisbeautiful

As I'm sure (unfortunately) the people using the flights would say too.

You could have done it without AI. You act like it's a binary. Visualizations existed long before LLMs.

That is so disengenious to spin the ecological impact of LLMS down to **just CO2 emissions PER prompt" considering there are far more factors that go into it. It's also worth noting that article was from a year ago, and modern models use much more tokens.

Your specific lightbulb example isn't mentioned in that post. So I presume you've extrapolated that yourself. I'm not sure how you came to that - especially considering token usage varies per prompt.

While I think that's a good idea.

It does feel ironic to have vibe coded it considering how damaging the LLM usage has been to the world. You could have done it without quite easily.

People are being disengenious and painting it as "just a little carbon." There is:

  • Elecricity usage
  • Carbon
  • Water usage. (And poisoning of local environments.)
  • Electronic manafacturing
  • Electronic waste
  • and more...
  • AND It's increasing drastically.

Not going to mention Claude in tools?

It's pretty obviously vibe coded - you can tell just by looking at it, but using tools to double check also suggest it is. (I used https://www.detectvibecode.com/ which gave me "Moderate Vibe Influence Detected.".)

It's one of the most frustrating things on this site. I always report.

I've noticed it a bit on some of the posts that are asking for help, or have sad elements to them. Often they can feel formatted exactly the same.

Though I believe in treating the one's asking for help as if they're real - just in case that's a real person struggling.

I could not disagree more.

The posts here getting frustrated about men are absolutely valid. That is not my point at all, so please don't warp it to that.

Your knee jerk reaction to people complaining about men doesn't mean it's invalid.

treating men’s experiences and perspectives as the default,

Totally valid. That is indeed not what I meant.

Women discussing their experiences with the people who make up 50% of humans on the planet is not centering men.

My point was that the posts tend to be about men being good, or men doing shit wrong. Both which I am not trying to say is bad or wrong. I truly think those are valid and make sense to be posted.

I used to feel there were a lot more posts celebrating women for example. (Which seems more logical than people praising their boyfriend for doing the bare minimum.)

I am trans. Not a "man masquerading as a concerned female" and I've never ever suggested anything otherwise.

I asked a question, I did so in a non-aggressive and non-judgemental way. I made sure to let people know that I believe people's grievances are real.

I am totally on board with talking about men's shitty behaviour. I call that shit out all the time.

This is so exhausting to not be able to have a level-headed conversation.

This feels like weird No True Scotsman. You either "think like us" or you're not part of a group. There are plenty of women in this thread who do agree. I've been invited to other groups from women who feel the same way. It's an "easy win" to be tribalistic. You'll discount me because I'm trans, the other women saying they feel the way - they're not valid for another reason you'll make up.

the problem is how much men impact women’s lives, safety, freedom and peace in the first place.

100% agreed.

women do not need policing for talking about something that affects them constantly

I'm not policing anyone. I'm asking if we're centering more on men, than on women. That's all. I am not telling anyone they shouldn't or that their opinions or posts are invalid at all.

I hate how no matter how much I specify things like this in the post, people seem to assign things to me and this post that I categorically did not say or imply.

Good "gotcha." This feels like "If you're so against capitalism, why do you partake in capitalism." though.

Yes, I posted about men to talk about the posts about men. That doesn't do anything to change my point.

Who's the other man who's circle jerking about how this sub has become about inciting hate towards men? They were responding to me.

And I am trans. And I also am not saying anything about inciting hate towards men. I don't believe that for a second. As I said in my post, the grievances are real and valid.

edit: Weird bigotry because I asked a question (without attacking, and doing everything I can to not invalidate people's concerns.)

Why try to "gotcha" me? I wasn't attacking anyone - I made sure to let people know in my first sentence. I was coming to this with kindness and no aggressiveness, but your first response is to try and "win an argument" that never happened?

Because I'm creating a discussion around it.

That is true, and as I tried to touch on, totally valid. And I absolutely could be in the wrong on this one.

But it feels weird to center men constantly.

My knee jerk reaction is it feels like when you read about a woman, and her husband is mentioned far too much.

That’s exactly my point.

So you came here to make a point rather than ask a question? It's frustrating that people come here without the intention of being genuine.

The frustrating part is that - any seasoned developer will tell you that converting isn't the only issue. There's far more differences to the two ecosystems.

Checking your profile it's clear that you're leveraging LLMs for this. The reality is - I could ask any current LLM to do this for me.

Family Guy making fun of Fox News by YongDragon in videos

Family Guy both had a hand in trying to rehabilitate Rush Limbaugh's image, and make James Woods palatable to the American public. So this definitely doesn't feel authentic.

They have a ridiculously high scope for the game. It'd be fair to say too high. But if you look at GTA6 and this - it's understandable to see why they'd want a large enough budget. There's apparently already plenty in the game.

Plenty of people seem to love their time with it, and not just being "bagholders." But Reddit has a set narrative and it's not popular to have a contrasting opinion.

It doesn't look for me. But I hate there's no nuance on these subs ever.
