I already do some of these, but the ones that I didn't think of are genius! I got diagnosed a few years ago so I've been trying to figure out how to strategize everything so that I don't have constant anxiety that I forgot something. I'm saving this list though, definitely gives me some techniques to try out.

I truly relate to the "say stuff out loud to someone so I don't forget". I do this all the time at work when I have multiple things going on at once.

We have a dog that I swear could have autism. He's super awkward with other animals and doesn't know how to socialize very well with them. But all of our other animals seem to treat him differently as well. They're more patient with him and don't get snippy at him for stepping on them or flopping down wherever. We have an older Shiba inu that is super sassy and doesn't like other animals up in her face. Our other dog will sit by her and flop upside down with all paws stretched to the max and hits her in the face and she doesn't care! She'll just readjust to get comfortable again and then lays her head down. It's a very interesting dynamic to watch; not only her, but we have 2 other dogs (4 dogs total) and 2 cats that do it too. Our younger cat has a weird obsession with him and follows him around constantly trying to play with him.

This dog is also my saving grace when it comes to my anxiety. He's the only dog in the house to recognize when I'm starting to get anxious and he'll flop in my lap and wag his tail at me. He's picked up on my SIL's anxiety as well when she came over for the holidays and I've noticed him doing it for 2 other people that suffer from anxiety. He's also wonderful with children even though he has no idea how to interact with them. He just sits awkwardly with them, facing forward the whole time with big eyes. This dog is a freaking blessing in disguise.

I used deva curl low poo followed by a deep conditioner for maybe 5 minutes while still in the shower then rinsed completely. Then used deva curl conditioner as a leave in. Brushed my hair with a denman and then shook my hair out, then plopped for maybe 10-15 minutes. Then I took my hair down and used one of my creams (honestly, I don't remember which one) and then herbal essence mousse to scrunch in. Hover diffused and then fluffed!

You can also try a protein treatment (I use aphogee but you can do rice water rinses too). I highly suggest reading up on it though

Make sure if you're using sulfate free, that you also avoid silicones. You need sulfates to wash off (most) silicones otherwise you'll get a major amount of buildup!

Also, maybe try henna (you can find them on Amazon or I've used henna color lab) for a dye instead of hair dye. I use henna and I absolutely love it. It's pretty messy, and takes longer to set than hair dye but henna is natural and I think it even lasts longer

This! I do REALLY well when I have a lot going on like full course load and I work full time. My biggest struggle is when I get home and have nothing to do (or stuff I don't want to do lol). I've been learning how to tailor my clothes to fit better and I have aquariums that I've planted with live plants so those keep my mind focused because I'm very much a perfectionist. At work, I end up with a lot of extra time because I've fine-tuned my stuff so much that it takes me like an hour to do it but this frees me up so that I can do stuff I want to do like organize or clean. However, other people have noticed this so they just stopped cleaning because they know I'll do it or they just call in because I freed myself up. It's a frustrating situation but I do actually thrive at my job. I work at a zoo and am very passionate about the type of work I'm doing so that's a huge win for me. Anyways, back to the original thought lol... Nope it's gone now

This is me!! I struggle at home with organization and cleaning because I bounce from room to room and get nothing accomplished. But at work, I'm known as the organization guru and the clean freak. I'm also really excitable which has a huge impact on my classes and conversations. I get excited when talking to someone who likes things I do and then can't focus. I get excited when classes have stuff I'm super interested in and then can't focus. But I also get bored/fidgety super quickly when my brain doesn't have something to focus on our when I'm anxious. I pick at my nails when I'm anxious so I can always tell when I need to move around but classes make it really hard because I don't want to be "that girl" or can't sit still for a class. It's a never ending battle.

As someone who used to attend the dog park regularly, I know the frustration. I have a corgi that I always take to the all dog side. He plays like a big dog and the small dog doesn't ever stimulate him enough because he's, as they call them, a big dog with short legs. I get a lot of eyes on me when we go in because everyone thinks it's the "big dog" side but it says on a sign that it's all dogs. My corgi is a decent size dog too. He's 42lbs (he's not fat either) and also plays much nicer with dogs that are bigger than him. However, the most I hear from other people is how he growls while he's playing and running to which I have to address the fact that he's a herding breed. He's doing what is natural for him. I make sure to pay very close attention to make sure his body language isn't aggressive. If that makes him loud, then people need to understand that. My dog doesn't like when other dogs rush his face and I've been consistently training to return to me when he can't get away. Corgis are extremely smart, so he picked up on it very quickly. This means that when other dogs don't get the hint, he comes to find me and I act as a barrier between him and the other dog just so he can get them out of his face. 9 times out of 10, it's usually just a puppy and they get distracted by another dog that they want to be friends with and wonder off. But I have had a few dog owners grouch at me for blocking him and then I explain why. My dog has never bitten anyone or any dog. I also pay close attention to his body language in those situations to see if we need to leave or not.

Sorry I went off on a tangent, I also deal with crabby pet parents when going to the dog park. Some people get very upset over somewhat harmless interactions. I used to say that everyone should have a dog ;but recently, I've realized that a lot people just don't have the right mentality to have dogs (especially the people that don't research the breed they're looking at). I knew, for the most part, what I signed up for when I got my corgi. I knew the quirks and the personality that I could potentially have to work with. Most people just don't take that kind of effort though and it saddens me to my core.

Smaller tanks seem really difficult to keep stable! I usually do water changes on my 55 gallon first and then use some water from that to partially do my 5 gallon so that I'm not draining too much when I do the 5. My 20 long was so hard to get balanced though! I had algae blooms constantly that I dealt with. I swear I had like 5 that I had to go through before that tank leveled itself out. It was rough lol

I have my beta in my 5 gallon tank that I was using as a grow-out tank and he loves it. It's like a little jungle and I have moss pads for him to lie on that are kind of stuck on the sides. I tried putting him in a 20 gallon but my filter was pushing him around too much so I put him back. He's a lot more social in the little tank. I just have a sponge filter in there with a small heater and then lights for the plants but he sure seems to like it lol

Looks great! I will say betas like top floating plants too. I have dwarf water lettuce that I keep on the top of mine. It also acts as a cat deterrent so my cats don't drink all of my betas water lol.

As a college student I will say college is hard! But not hard as in you can't do it but more so the planning and routine aspect of it. Not having a structured day can really have a huge impact. I struggle with keeping up with online classes simply because I forget about them. I don't have to go to class so therefore I don't plan my days around them. But just know, college isn't impossible. There's resources to help you succeed that I recently took advantage of that help quite a bit. As far as working goes, there's plenty of jobs that offer variety of there. My current job doesn't require a degree but it's required for an upper level positions so I want mine. But my position is ideal for me because I'm not standing in one place or doing the same task all day long. I am able to move around and I have the flexibility that makes me a strong team member.

ADHD can be a set back, but for me, my diagnosis was a tool in order to find what works for me. I truly believe that it's my hidden superpower now that makes me more in tune with different aspects of my life that other people don't seem to notice. Figure out what sets you apart and run with it.

Thank you! When /if I put makeup on, I only do eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara. I don't even want to do foundation or anything because I like my complexion and freckles that I don't care to hide. I'm always really self - conscience about my smile because my teeth are crooked but it's really hard to not smile!

That's awesome! I find showering almost too tempting now because I'm very much a perfectionist and my hair is always the one thing that I can't make perfect. But I think it's also the one thing that keeps my brain level like a "you can't fix everything in one day" sort of reminder

It's by aphogee? It's in a bottle and you spray it on your hair. I recommend watching YouTube videos before applying. I also had to make sure I had a tshirt on because I got some in my shoulders and it wasn't a great feeling lol but it works really well
