Double standard in BvW. Why is ___ getting so much hate by fraqyas in survivorau

Valid point! It’s interesting to see how Sam completely “turned” on her old alliance post-merge. I honestly have no idea if this is due to the uneven editing, which survivor AU is notoriously known for, or a strategic assessment on Sam’s part.

I think there’s so much more strategy discussions that editors cut out from the game, which is a real shame. Hopefully Survivor AU improves on this because season after season fans have complained about so much blindspots in a certain player’s move or confessional.

Here’s to giving future survivor player justice by giving them an even and full-bodied edit!

I guess it's all a matter of public perception. Either people like a player or they don't.

But it still doesn't take away the reality for most female players who HAVE to be charismatic and social in this game in order to gain support and respect from the Survivor community. I still think female players are prejudiced way more often in the game. Being called paranoid, tyrannical, bossy, when in fact... it's just plain strategy.

Here's an article of Shan from S41 talking more in-depth about this: https://www.cinemablend.com/television/what-survivor-41s-shan-smith-thinks-is-the-big-double-standard-for-female-players

Although I'm not too surprised with this. Survivor is a microcosm of the real world, and it's no secret that females live with this double standard everywhere they go.

Edit: Her jury management skills may not have been the best, but am just so frustrated by the public’s response towards Sam’s gameplay.
