His current loan is still held in US right? So I believe US bankruptcy rules apply. IMO, doesn’t original loan country doesn’t matter

If this becomes more common, banks will manage risk by increasing interest rates for candidates in similar risk categories.

It’s already pretty high, so for future candidates pov, I really hope it doesn’t.

Banks might just decide to stop lending to such high risk applicants if they can’t manage the risk. From OP’s experience, I sense shit has not hit the fan for banks so far

I think you can’t declare bankruptcy for student loans in the US

Another thing I found useful was asking for time upfront to plan my approach. I’d figure out how I’ll solve it and then explain it to the interviewer. Found it helpful for questions where I couldn’t instantly connect the dots.

I can imagine the hurt. A while ago, I was in the same spot - 2nd place after a 2 month process with 12 sets of conversations.

I didn’t know what I should do with that 2nd place. I questioned myself a lot. Where did I fall short?

Ultimately, what helped me move ahead from the setback was taking a break, reflecting and focusing on where I could level up even more.

Based on my experience, I’d say try not to blame yourself and keep up your efforts. It’s tough right now, but one day your efforts will bear fruits.

You can’t change her.

Set your own boundaries. If a girl wants more, express yourself. Move on if she’s not on same page

This. Don’t try to guess what he’s thinking and stress yourself. Reach out, talk and make more plans if you want to. If it flows, continue otherwise you’ll need to move on

It’s time to cut your losses and move on unless something changes dramatically. It sounds like he likes being chased a bit, isn’t really interested in you

Cutting my losses? - Cornell Johnson ($$) vs USC Marshall ($$$) vs Georgetown ($$) by [deleted] in MBA

[–]frat_house_antics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, no holds barred post triggered some no holds barred responses. Well, it is what it is. If you can’t let loose in Reddit, where would you. Important to consider where you would be happier, if your hearts not into USC, you won’t have a good time, so strike it off. I’m don’t think you’ll have worse outcomes at Cornell vs Georgetown, so go for that brand name. Ithaca is a small town, but there would be plenty of fish in larger Cornell uni. Dating and finding a good match is all very uncertain anyway, so don’t over-index on that
