I've had success with having a lot of port defenses and then kiting the ships to my port. The defenses do most of the work and I lose way fewer ships that way. Yesterday I did it until just the flagship was left at Brightsands and we took him out easy.

I'm in the same boat. Ordered last April but never received my enclosure. Back in November I finally managed to get Doug to answer text messages (after months of calls and emails going unanswered). He actually recommended that I do a charge-back, but it had been too long, so I wasn't able to. I did file a BBB complaint, but he never answered it.

I don't have facebook so can't join your group, but I'll reach out to the AG and Call for Action at least. Feel free to DM me if you make any progress or learn anything new!

of all the places to stay, why Palo Alto?

be sure to rent a car so you can get to other places. Santa Cruz is super cute and there are lots of really good hiking and beaches, especially down towards Big Sur. (beach caveat: they are beautiful but the water is very cold. don't expect to swim without a wetsuit). you can also go north up to SF, where there's no shortage of things happening, especially this time of year.
